all female characters have sunken in cheeks.

Hi,

so my skyrim has the problem that (since i dont know when) all the female charcters have sunken in cheeks even though they are not vampires.

Hey Nattidati,

 

I'm not entirely sure what that is about. It may not be this mod, but have you tried deactivating EnhancedCharacterEdit? The only reason I suggested that is because I know that mod comes with a custom head mesh. Maybe its that. Could also be a mod that alters the normal maps for the head.

 

I noticed in your screenshot the race is Redguard teenager, but are the vanilla races like that as well?

1) Well i deactivated ece and it didnt help i had actually gotten it to see if it would help in any way.

 

2) Could you recommend something on your thought about the normal map mod ?

 

3) the actual race is nord, redguard teenager is just the one that is highlighted.

First of all, sorry that didn't resolve your issue.

 

Secondly, hmm. I'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to these things so you'll have to bear with me, assuming you're willing to but my next step would be to try to figure out if it is in fact your textures and the way I would do this is by going to that texture section specifically and moving it to my desktop and then starting the game.

 

Just in case you are unfamiliar with the folder hierarchy I would go to:

 

Data - > textures -> actors -> character -> and move the female folder to the desktop (so it is easy to put back)

 

Then load up the game and see if you still have the issue. If a mod is messing with your textures and that is what is causing that, it should become clear by doing that.

 

Of course we have to hope that if a mod is doing it and it is doing so by altering the textures there, that it won't happen to be a BSA or else this won't matter I think.

 

But to me it is worth the try if you're willing to do so.

So i moved the folder but nothing changed still the same result which as you said means it is the fault of a mod.

 

I also checked the mods and only found 2 mods that could make such a change LIFE.esp and CitrusHead - Standalone.esp. I will look into them and report back.

 

 

 

okay. so i unchecked LiFE.esp and CitrusHeads - Standalone.esp and it is still there. Actually i just realised that (i dont know if it just happened or i just hadnt noticed before) also the male characters have such cheeks.

There's a racemenu column called "Extra" which has race names listed. If you change those, it can give a "sunken" cheek or other really strange facial appearance effect. If this modifies mesh axis' on the fly, then meshes if these weren't changed, might be a good place to start looking for a possible cause (the mesh from one race mixed in with a mesh from another, or an NPC's face data loaded as the players). Check the "Extra" column and see if all those are "0". Anything else will change the way your character looks.
