  1. Greetings all, My issue is with the size of the windows for editing inside the Creation Kit for Fallout 4. I had similar issues with Skyrim, but Alt-Drag solved this for me. It isn't this time because the box is so short (and has no scrolling either) that it cuts off before the "OK" and "Cancel" buttons. I have changed resolutions (my resolution is 2560 x 1440p) and have tried putting the kit into compatibility mode (which I have to do because otherwise everything is too small for me to see them). I tried it without the compatibility settings for the DPI. I've tried changing the scaling of all text and apps. No matter what I do, no matter the size of the main Creation Kit's size (sometimes it is tiny) the weapon editor window is always the same size and always cuts itself off at the same point. Is there anyway to fix this? I have never figured out what caused this with the Skyrim Creation Kit, but I could still use it but now, this is just insane. Thank you, TONS
  2. Hello Chenoah, Do you use LOOT to sort your mod order? I know it isn't fool proof but it might have caught that mistake. Regarding the version of Verdant you use, it seems the older one had a patch to deal with this problem, but that patch wasn't 100% and it may have been abandoned since. This may be part of the reason they created a newer version, to address this particular issue. Maybe the patch is somewhere in the Old Files section?
  3. Hey there Maxx, How are you trying to initiate playing the game? I mean at first. Are you hitting "play" from Steam in order to start up the game or are you doing it from the Skyrim.exe? Basically, I'm just curious if it is generating an INI file from what you can tell.
  4. Hey there Artpyer, I'm sorry if I don't quite understand the problem you're having, but I'll try my best to help. It looks like the first mod adds 3 Nightingale armors and those armors have no enchantment on them. This means that there are 4 sets of meshes that all have 4 different texture paths. Only one of those sets is the vanilla one though and that armor set would have the enchantment. Because of the last thing, that second mod you used, which is a texture replacer, would only replace the texture for one set... the vanilla armor which should be your old armor. The third mod appears to be a mesh replacer, not a texture one. This means it should change the shape of the vanilla armor but use whatever texture you have loaded for the vanilla Nightingale. As the first mod attempts to explain, if you want 4 different Nightingale armors, you'll have to manually drop the textures in the correct folders. I'm not sure what you mean by getting the enchantment from one of the mods. Were you trying to replace the enchantment as well or add the Nightingale enchantments to the other armors? Hopefully, we can get to the bottom of this and have your guild all spiffed out in no time. -TONS
  5. Hello dbzmaster32, Are you sure you're activating the mods after you installed them? Also, do you have the latest SKSE installed and if so, are you making sure to start the game with SKSE?
  6. I'm not sure I'll be able to help, but I wanted to ask you some questions. Is it only the armor you wear or does the armor look weird on the NPCs too? Can you post more pics of your character wearing other armors? Ideally, a vanilla armor and another of a modded armor. Also, could you say what mod the armors come from? Is this something that just started or have you always had this issue? I'm wondering if it's a texture path problem of some kind. Again, not sure if I can help, but maybe if you can do the above, it might help someone else help you.
  7. Hello toadguy, Not sure if this fits what you're looking for perfectly, but I do believe this mod, in addition to making the game more challenging, adds new enemies that you might be able to consider like the Ebony Warrior. Some of which come looking to challenge you so to speak. Sands of Time Sleeping Encounters Sorry if turns out not to be what you're after but I'm hoping it works out for you. -TONS
  8. Welcome to the forums. Someone else may have a better answer for you, but in my opinion you would be better served changing the stats on the summons yourself by going into the Creation Kit and finding the actors that get summoned by the spells. You would be able to give them more health and or hitting power as well as adjust how long the summon lasts. It's honestly simple so try not to be intimidated or give up.
  9. Adjusting those values does actually work. I just tested it out and this was on Steam (US) - Version 1.2.5
  10. I think it would be great if we could zoom in more on the map.
  11. INTRODUCTION: So, at some point when you're told where you can rest, someone (I know who they are, just not saying the name) tells you to make sure you take your dirty shoes off before getting in the bed. Also, every time you go to sleep, you have to sit first and it shows you the options you have and one of them is to open your inventory here. I removed my shoes, but it seemed to seemed to have no effect at all. REQUEST(S): - Make it to where removing your weapons and armor before sleeping adds to your comfort. - I know it likely shouldn't make a difference, but maybe that is something else that could be changed as well. Maybe you can get a buff from resting so comfortably. - Perhaps one may even be able to purchase a shirt or pants that are for sleeping that improve comfort when resting.
  12. And if this isn't possible, I think if it just took longer to get dirty, that would be a fair compromise. IMHO
  13. **These Notes Based on Testing Done on Version 1.02 of the Game** INTRODUCTION: This is just a small guide for the very beginning of the game. Specifically, this focuses primarily on Henry’s stats when his adventure begins and the benefits for each conversation option. Initially, I believe Henry is level 0 before he speaks with his mom and she asks him what he got up to last night. Answering the first question automatically puts him at level 1, answering the second inquiry with an answer that matches the stat of the first answer will put Henry at level 2. BASE STATS: Carry Weight: 70 Health: 100 Stamina: 107 Energy: 100 Nourishment: 40 Strength: 1 Agility: 1 Vitality: 1 Speech: 1 Charisma: 7 Visibility: 56 Conspicuousness: 50 Noise: 44 Speed: 17 CONVERSATION STAT BONUSES: +1 Speech – We Were Chatting in the Tavern. (adds to nothing else) +1 (+2) Speech – Why Would I Be Interested in Swordfighting? +1 Speech / Total +2 Speech +1 Agility – I Was Dancing. + 1 Speed (17 -> 18 Speed) +1 (+2) Agility – Matthias Was Teaching Me Archery. + 1 Speed / Total +2 Speed (19 Speed) +1 Vitality – I Was with Bianca. +5 Stamina (107 -> 112 Stamina) +1 (+2) Vitality – What Does It Matter? +1 Perk point +4 Stamina (107 -> 116 Stamina) +1 Strength – I Was Working in the Forge. +4 Max Carry Weight (70 -> 74 Stamina) +1 Perk point +1 (+2) Strength – What Does It Matter? +4 Carry Weight / Total +8 Carry Weight (70 -> 78 Stamina) IMPORTANT NOTES: If you double on any stat choice (such as picking the options both conversation options that increase speech), you will become level 2 and gain a perk point immediately after the conversation with your mom. +2 Speech appears to have no affect on the success of haggling (at least not during the introduction it seems). This was tested on the coal merchant several times, selling the red scarf, which has a default sale price of 5.2 which I could only sell at most for 5.8… interesting sidenote about Haggling, staying your ground is an option. I’d pick 5.8 immediately, and the merchant would reject and counter, but I’d keep hitting 5.8 until he agreed to that price. Thing is, you obviously need to be on a price the merchant will be willing to agree to because if you’re not, they will get upset and all it all a waste of time. Kunesh (minor spoilers): Kunesh (minor spoilers): SPECIAL THANKS EddieShoe for Unlimted Saving because this made doing my tests SO much easier.
  14. Greetings people, I have done searches, I have made various attempts, I have followed different steps from different replies to similar threads, and I cannot figure out how to do what I'm trying to do. All I am trying to do is combine combine the meshes/nifs of the helmet, cuirass, gauntlets, and boots into a single mesh/nif. I cannot get it to work no matter what I try. I thought I had it finally figured out and then the mesh kept crashing the Creation Kit and then looking at the mesh, I could see it was wrong. So I'd appreciate someone telling me first, is it possible to copy and paste one mesh into another with its bones using only nifskope and if so, how? Thank you. Regards, Tons
  15. Hey, Thank you for responding and for providing a kind of solution. I meant to say before that the game counts the number of times you save, not the number of saves you have. I wish it was based on the number of saves you have instead. So every time you save, whether over an existing save or when creating a new save, it counts up from the highest number it "remembers." This means if the highest number save it remembers is 4, even if you save directly over 4, it becomes 5 even though/if the save right below it is 3. So then you'll have save 1, 2, 3, and 5. I'm not explaining that to you because I think you don't know how saving works, just explaining it because I think it wasn't clear before that I understood the numbering and to set the foundation for the next thing I explain. The only way to combat this that I have found is to delete a save (so in the above example delete save 4), then exit from the save menu (possible completely out the start menu really), then go back in and create a new save because once you exit out of the save menu, it "forgets" the original highest number and the highest number there becomes the highest number it remembers. With that being said, is that something that can be hotkeyed? So that by pushing one key, it automatically will do it that way? Delete Save => Exit Saving (possibly start menu) => Then Save ? And thank you again for your response.
  16. Hello people, Yes, I am crazy. Let's just get that out of the way now but I am wondering if there is a mod or if it is possible for there to be a mod that changes the way the game numbers the save. Like the number doesn't go up unless you make a new save. I know it is a small thing. I know it may even be stupid to be bothered by this (it's definitely some kind of OCD), but it drives me slightly crazy that every time I save the game, rather than a slot number, it is counting the saves. Why would anyone think that a good idea? Who at Bethesda thought this information was so important that rather than include it as a statistic that we should have it as the main label? Whoooooo?! I'm sorry. My therapist says I need to do a better job of controlling outbursts like that one. *clears throat* So I was saying, if it is in anyway possible to change it so that when I save my game, it only increases that save count if I create a new save, that would really change my life and I can finally stop punching babies being only slightly upset about this non-issue. Thank you, TONS
  17. Hello, Does anyone know how to remove the effect that makes you look like the predator when invisible? I tried the usual of going to the magic efffect and changing everything to NONE but when my spell activates, I'm still made to look almost clear. I need a spell that works like invisibility but doesn't physically alter my appearance. Also, if there's a way to make it so the effect doesn't break when I attack someone, that would help as well.
  18. Hey Elias, I'm far from a scripting person but if you were alright with utilizing SKSE, I believe you could use the SetEnchantment function (https://www.creationkit.com/index.php?title=SetEnchantment_-_Armor) combined with the Wait Utility (https://www.creationkit.com/index.php?title=Wait_-_Utility) to accomplish what this task. That way you can have one enchantment to increase range and one that restores it to normal. The one that extends the range will wait 5 seconds and then set the enchantment to the one that reduces the range back to normal. I could be over complicating it, like I said, I'm not a script guy really but I thought maybe this could/would help you out. Good luck.
  19. Hello 13eowulf, If I understand you correctly, you right now your weapon is interpreted in game to be a warhammer and you want it to be recognized as a greatsword. The reason I am clarifying this is because to my understanding you want to change from one kind of 2 hander to another kind of 2 hander. This is important to know because trying to change a 1 hander to a 2 hander or vice versa requires a few more steps to get things to work. Assuming I'm right, then xcafe would essentially be correct. You just need to change the animations in the Creation Kit. Here's how... Select the Weapon You Want Changed: Select the Art and Sound Tab: Go to the Anim Type Drop Down Box: Change it from TwoHandAxe to TwoHandSword And Then Click Okay and Save Your Work: And that should do it for what you're trying to do it for you. If not, we'll try again and get you to where you're trying to go... eventually, lol.
  20. Hey Funnyjunk, I am not sure as to what your problem might be, but I am hoping that this tutorial regarding how to build a scene will be useful to you: I know it is older, but it should still work. Good luck to you.
  21. Hey Unconformist, Regarding this question: 1. I'm making a quest forcing subtitles, but after i get to the point where the player should receive the quest and quit dialogue, the subtitles remain in the screen for a while and nothing happens unless i talk to the npc again, it opens dialogue without nothing being said, and only after quit this "blank" dialogue the player gets the quest objective. Does anyone know how to fix this? I might be able to help if you didn't already solve this but the length of time a subtitle stays on screen should be based on the length of time you recorded for (even if you recorded silence) so if it is staying on the screen for too long, try recording a shorter amount of silence. Also, make sure you have the Goodbye checkbox selected as well. Hopefully this helps. Good luck.
