NV Brotherhood of Steel's armor change?

I'm looking to change all of the NV Brotherhood of Steel's armors to a different armor model but i can't figure out how to do it. I'm looking through GECK to change them but there's so much in the way of Paladin items (e.g. Templates, characters etc) i don't know where to start. I don't know, it is confusing the hell out of me. I'm thinking the easy way would be to change the templates but IDK. I tried taking the simple route of just swapping models (meshes and textures) from the new armor model to the old BoS model but i't's not coming out right. If there's an semi-easier way of doing it through GECK or by model swapping I would appreciate anyone letting me know.

 

P.S. I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this question, perhaps it should have gone into mod troubleshooting. My apologies if it's not.

 

Edit: I've gotten a tiny bit further with model swapping but it's really weird, i changed the brotherhood t-51b armor to the new model but not all of the people are wearing it when they clearly are; I checked the corpse. I took into acount and also changed the t-5lb variant model and still no change. I don't know what t-51b model i could possibly be missing because i can only find 2 in GECK.

 

Edit 2: Ok i figured out why some BoS people didn't wear the new armor. I forgot to set the female armor model.... Yes i'm dumb, hence the reason i'm asking how to change the armors in the first place. : (

 

Edit 3: I'm so lost here. I thought i figured why the females didnt have the new armor and i sort of did but theres a new problem. Somehow they have dual armors now. This is so annoying. They have the old BoS armor and the new armor on at the same time. I have no idea how this is even possible. This is beginning to be more trouble than its worth.

 

Edit 4: Success. I discovered why there were two sets of armor on one character. I had mods for female BOS armor activated which is why the new armor wouldn't show up on females. Anyway all is well now and i would like to thank myself for helping me through this whole mess. :P
