Hello, I recently installed the TCOM pack to Oblivion after three tries I think I got it about right. However, the game keeps to just close down or just not respond at frequent intervals. I copied the error report from the last crash:

I noticed that it says that D3D9 is the faulty module, I guess thats DirectX. I am quite certain I have the latest version of it, though :(

Any help would be greatly appreciated! As this appear to be an amazing compilation.

And please, tell me if you need more info.

Crashed when I tried to enter the Weapon/Armor shop in Chorrol, 2nd time that happened but it always works the next time I login.

The faulty module always changes aswell... Meh, I´ll stop spamming these reports for now, lest I overwhelm the thread. :)

In both cases you are getting unhandled exceptions. These are very tricky to track down, by my first advice would be to:

a) Uninstall Oblivion and reinstall outside of the protected 'Program Files' folder structure (eg: C:\Games\Oblivion)

b) Add Oblivion.exe to the excluded files in your DEP list.

c) Do not run antivirus software while playing games (disconnect from the internet to be safe).

So I reinstalled and made a new character, all went fine and I was well on my way to Weynon Priory when I decided I wanted to log onto my old save from the last install. About 5-10 minutes afterwards, it crashed, with the following faulty module:

Was this caused by my old save or was it just a coincidence that it crashed shortly after I switched character?

The only thing I have to offer to this thread is you should avoid such mod compilations such as TCOM or any other similar packs. They often include mods that they do not have permission to redistribute and also contain outdated versions of said mods. I've heard TCOM mentioned before and I'm 99% certain it contains at least a handful of mods that the uploader was not given permission to redistribute. You should always download and install mods on your own, not in compilation packs, and do so slowly to avoid and remedy as many conflicts as possible.

Did you add Oblivion.exe to your DEP exclusions?

Did you disable any antivirus software?

Telling people exactly what steps you have taken will help others in their attempts to help you.
