lLoneWandererl
Been waiting for them to fix this since release day. I, and Plenty of other people have reported this problem and it still looks like their not going to fix it. This bug was in Oblivion and Fallout 3, I'm not even going to ask why it's now in New Vegas. Does anyone have a mod or fix that can let the game exit without crashing? Kind of like the Fast Exit mod for Oblivion. Any help would be appreciated.
yoba333
Yeah, I have this problem too. Even quitting from the console doesn't fix it.
lLoneWandererl
I would be happy with a simple Alt + F4 quit, but whenever you want start the game again it says an "instance is running"...
yoba333
Perhaps a simple rework of the oblivion fast exit mod would work.
GriefReaper
Do any of you have threaded audio set to 1 in your ini file, that made my game crash on exit.
yoba333
...is it that simple? I will check immediately. What is the exact line to look for? I can't find threaded audio. Edited January 23, 2011 by yoba333

yoba333
Mine was set at 0. I set it at 1 and tried it but it still crashed. Any other ideas?
pokkla
Setting bMultiThreadAudio to 0 worked for me. It was 1 originally. Had to change it in both Fallout.ini and FalloutPrefs.ini.
