Paragalor
I'm new to the modding community, and I'm currently making a really nice house on the Kvatch mountain path. It's going very well, but when I try to enter a summary or put my name as the author in the "File/Data..." menu, the TES Construction Set freezes up and I am forced to end the program with the Task Manager. I would really like to put my name on this mod. A little help please? Thanks,--Paragalor EDIT:Problems solved and mod is up: http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=36791. Thanks again, guys! Hickory
I do not know why the CS would do that. But there is a size restriction for the summary (not sure off-hand what that is), so try to keep it very short and sweet - it's not meant to hold a readme. Failing that, you can use Wrye Bash to add the information.
Paragalor
Where can I download Wyre Bash, and what is it? All I've heard is good things about it, and I could sure use it.
Hickory
You can download it here on the Nexus. You need to install the Wrye Python 3a libraries first, then the new 291 installer.
David Brasher
TES4 Gecko can also put your name and mod description on a mod. It is what I use. I have used two computers for modding, and on both of them, the program will crash if I try to put this data in using the CS.
Paragalor
Wow, TES4 Gecko worked great! I would have used Wrye Bash (corrected my spelling) but it was a little too complicated... Thanks!
Astymma
TES4Edit is also another viable alternative and a tool you may want to add to your modding arsenal anyway. I've found it to be the best tool for cleaning mods and seeing at a glance exactly which mods alter a specific record and in what order.
Deleted1848331User
That particular tool in the CS is broken, just like the .LIP generator.
Hickory
That particular tool in the CS is broken, That's odd, because I use it all the time.
