I've heard the gameplay isn't as good and that it isn't as scary... both of those things made the original Dead Space what it was, and I don't know if I could buy the second game if it's lacking in those areas. :/ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

This game doesn't really bother creating that oppressive atmosphere required for a decent horror game, it relies too much on things jumping out and shouting "Boo!!". Retribution Posted February 18, 2011 Share Posted February 18, 2011 Dead Space 2 is a great game. I got it used off Amazon for 20 bucks, I wouldn't have bought it otherwise. It isn't very scary (there are a couple parts that are, though), but the combat is great, the visuals are nice, and I actually like the story.
