Aurum10000 Posted June 7, 2015 Share Posted June 7, 2015 (edited) I noticed the vanilla laser pistol and rifle are weak enough to tickle and have a 30/24 round capacity. Something like that is begging to go full auto or at the very least have a weapon attachment that makes it full auto. And I know some of you might be thinking "We have the gatling laser & laser rcw." But understand the laser rifle and pistol are weak and this would give them an edge. Lastly correct me if I'm wrong but does the gauss rifle really constitute as an energy weapon? Maybe move that to the firearms skill along with the unique version and give it a new type of ammo. Maybe 2mm EC and lastly make this all compatible with DLC for the sake of logical continuity. There are 3 files AutomaticLasers5, AutomaticLasers7, and AutomaticLasers9 so you have a choice of different fire rates to test (didn't change pew pew's fire rate of 8) for game balance. It's nothing complicated just a few edits in geck, a tweak to the mesh, but I think the texture came out nice and it seems to fit well alongside it's bigger sibling. There are like 26 different ones for automatic weapons, and off hand I can't think of one (a automatic weapon) that uses a mfc. Can you use the geck? If so I can show you how to test each one. devinpatterson Posted June 10, 2015 Share Posted June 10, 2015 This one is close (reloading anim "D"), but the niVis controller node doesn't fire off so the mfc doesn't pop out of the rifle. That could probably be fixed in nifskope, but it's a little messy so it's not something I'd be likely to dig into, as I'd have to do some research. But someone more familiar with weapons could probably tweak it. I tested A through F, but if you willing to test the rest let me know (just basic geck familiarity required) and I'll post some pics on how to do it. Othweise if your ok with it as is, then enjoy. I was able to rename the MFC in the laserrifle nif to match the controller block for ReloadD (2HandAutomatic, it's actually used for the gauss rifle), enabling it, but unfortunately it's unusable, Vid; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=orXfI0D5pOw As an alternative I found attack6 to be essentially what you wanted in regard to how the weapon is held and fired, plus it has an intact reload animation because it's using the original, vid; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfjXiHM7aww But it's much slower in fire rate than automatic weapon that uses the attack loop. And because (I assume) of the animation it can't be speeded up much if any faster than in the video. Compare it to the fire rate on the attackLoop, in the next post (I have to apparently break them up as the forum software doesn't seem to corretcly recognize 3 videos in one post). Here is attack6, try it out and you already have reloadD from the link in post #8. Decide which one you want to settle for and I'll fold it into an inclussive mod with both the pistols and rifles, or alternately split them into two separate mods (as you requested with your edited post) with the rifle esp being the compromise you settle on.
