More male armor/clothes mods

I for one would love to see many variable mods for the males. Looking over the mods, they seem to be over stacked: 90% Female to 10% Male. I would like to see mods of all sorts, better armors/clothes, invisible setups that include male and female, smexy setups, everything.

Yeah. Iron bikini might look nice, but wouldn't be able to withstand a blow

Well, since you want to open the can of worms about realism in armor, I must say what others with enough common sense have been saying for the longest time: it's just a game! There's nothing real about it. I apologize in advance if you will be offended by what I'm going to say... Since you're bashing bikini armors, I'm sure you also fail to see that the MALE character shown in the preview screenshots was also wearing armor resembling "bikini". So how come it's ok for a male character to wear revealing armors but when modders make bikini armors for female toons, people like you always whine about realism? I have nothing against modders making more cool looking armors for male characters because I play male characters most of the time, but it just annoys me when some people bring up the "realistic in armors for video games" bs argument.

Thing is, you can't force people into making certain kinds of mods. Modders make what THEY want. If a majority of the modders want sexy, female-only "armour" then that is what you get. You can wish for it to be different but, if you want to see a change, the best thing you can do is to start modding yourself.

What could be done is to make it easier to find "realistic armour" through better filtering, the tag system is a good step towards this. You can also expose these kind of mods more through some kind of "Nexus recommends" on the front page. Directly controlling what people upload is very dangerous and could fraction the modding community here.

Too bad only 10 percent of modders actually make mods that are lore-friendly and don't consist of a women with huge-breasts walking around in bikini while its snowing.

Actually, it's the other way around. There are over 22700 files on the TESnexus, only 1101 of these are listed under the adult-only category, which is actually less than 10%.

He was speaking about modders. Still unlikely, though.

Anyway, this is derailing into the age old debate of mature vs none-mature content. Unless people go back to discus the balance between male and female armour, I foresee this topic will be locked soon.

Back on topic....

I, too, think it would be refreshing to see more male armor and clothing in Skyrim. I also would like to see realistic female versions of those male armors. For example, if it's full plate on a man, there should be full plate version for a woman.

I have nothing against a wide variety of garments and armor for both sexes. The key is striking more of a balance. "Fantasy" is just fine, but right now, there's just not enough choices for those who want more "realism."

Bottom line, I'd like to see more choices for both males and females. I'd also like it to be easier to find what I'm looking for.

The tag search is pretty useful here. Even if not everything is tagged for TES 3/4, mods for Skyrim will probably be better tagged.

Interesting enough, I did some tag searching to get numbers for this discussion:

Female clothing: 20 pages

Male clothing: 8 pages

Female armor: 145 pages

Male armor: 96 pages

Female armor + Lore friendly: 16 pages

Male armor + Lore friendly: 14 pages

Female armor + Lore friendly + New models + New Textures: 6 pages

Male armor + Lore friendly + New models + New Textures: 6 pages

On the lore friendly side of things, the difference between the amount of mods is quite small. Interesting.

Huh...those are very interesting statistics, ITOS.

To be honest, I haven't done much searching with tags. It would probably help.
