Co-op and Arenas

Dianadoesitbest, we were discussing this exact same idea on another thread just a little while ago and you were like, "No," period. o_O

???

You were talking about Arena only. There is no roleplaying involved. I'd rather they set it up so small groups of players can find a server that suits them. If someone wants to have a server thats just an elaborate arena mod they can do that, but bethesda shouldn't waste their time implementing a 1v1, 2v2 arena mode, I imagine you're picturing something with leader boards that can be played through the PSN or Xbox live,to which I say no. That would take too much time away from single player development. I am stating that a multiplayer option should be run by players for players; as in you would have to set up your own dedicated server if you want to run a world.

Bethesda would have no hand in it other than providing the client to do so.

Which would not effect single player development as it can be an outside program like the creation kit. If they don't do it that way and implement it like red dead redemption, the RPG element will be lost and it will only be a fragfest with swords. Some people might like that, but not the vast majority of the player base who seek out immersion.

Knowing a little bit about game designer, a Co-op Option would be barely any effort to add. The literal only thing they could possibly have to work on is enemy scaling and nowadays that little effort to do minus a simple a program to change numbers. For one they have to make the world client side meaning one person actually loads the world and send only simple text conditions that changes the world for the player in real time. However the largest hurdle would be can one guy be in a dungeon by himself while the other exploring the world. Now you people need to understand I rather have Bethesda try it because they could do it. Yall need to understand that if we are at all to have a game a company needs to innovate.
