Cleaning Mods for FO3

Ok, I just learned how to clean mods using FO3Edit. A pretty simple process actually. Question is, what mods should I not clean? For instance the author of FWE says not to clean their mod, or you'll break it. I've personnally decided to avoid cleaning the high end mods like FWE, MMM, EVE, etc. I did however clean all the DLC's for FO3. They were dirty. Not sure if that was the right thing to do, but I did it. Some mods I went to clean, were clean as a whistle. For instance, all of the T6M stuff I checked was all clean. Was nice to see. Anyway, I was just wondering what everyone's thoughts were. I don't want my game crashing because I cleaned a mod...that sorta' defeats the whole purpose. BOSS is reporting 17 dirty mods to me. The DLC's for instance. Heh...that's funny.

Ok, thanks. I've heard about the step guide. There's a guy that always makes posts saying "According to the step guide...this mod must be cleaned." It's funny, he posts it all over the place. I basically cleaned all the DLC's and every mod that LOOT and BOSS detected as dirty. They both detected the same mods. I cleaned all dirty mods except for FWE, becuase they say no to. That leaves just six dirty mods in my load order.

Hey Ark, while I'm here...I forgot where in my load order the two esp's for: Unique Weapons Retextured.esp and Unique Weapons RetexturedPITT.esp should go. Right now I've got them below FWE and WMK, but I think they only need to go below FWE. Can't remember. :)

I always try to give details on load order when it matters in the descriptions (and readmes):

...they must load after the corresponding WEP Uniques plugin as well as the Bashed Patch and/or the Blackened patch if using those.
