Moire
I want to use the Lop-ears elf race that requires Beautiful People 2ch edition but I don't really want that mod to mess with my game and I don't need the extra races. I found an article about this awhile ago but now I can't find it. How do I remove the BP dependency while keeping all the eyes and hair for my race? Is it recommended? David Brasher
A mod such as this would be for personal use and could not be uploaded or distributed without permission. To do this task, you would need basic modding skills in the CS. The simplest approach might be to take a copy of Beautiful People 2ch edition and hack and slash until you had removed everything you did not want in your game. Then you can continue to have your Lop-ears elf race dependent on your cut-down Beautiful People master. If you are a bit more skilled then that, you could manually merge the portions of Beautiful People 2ch edition that you like with your copy of Lop-ears elf race. So you would edit all the parts you like by opening them and renaming them with new form IDs so that they would exist in your modded Lop-ears elf race mod after you saved. You can then use TES4Gecko or some other tool to remove the master it no longer needed. If you remove the master before you have all the content you want changed to non-dependency, things will be majorly fouled up. Like you will have missing meshes, missing textures, and functions that don't work.
LFact
Modular BP 2ch Edition has all hairs and eyes records into one esm file, IIRC(though I do not use MBP 2ch Edition). If you want to remove dependancy, you have to merge all needed hairs/eyes into race mod plugin, and give eyes/hairs again.
