underm1nd
So today i installed the new nvidia driver - 266.58 and now new vegas, and fallout 3 cant start at all. Im getting an error message for missing libvorbisfile.dll am i the only one having that problem and is there a way to fix this without downgrading the drivers? ( i red in bunch of forums that those drivers break many other games too) EDIT: ok so i tried downgrading, but nothing happend with fo3 im still getting the error and new vegas crashes after it finishes loading before the main menu. Maybe the drivers arent the problem, but i cant think of anything else that can break both games. Yesterday both games were working without problem.... asdfzxc
"libvorbisfile.dll" is a game file, it has nothing to do with your video drivers. Try reinstalling.

Try reinstalling. yeah i thought so cus i saw that the same error comes up if u dont install geck in the game folder, but both games broke in the same day i installed new video drivers haha. I was hoping i wont have to reinstall, but i'll try reinstalling though i hope it works.,..

asdfzxc
Go into your Fallout New Vegas folder, see if the file's actually in there.
underm1nd
Go into your Fallout New Vegas folder, see if the file's actually in there. i get that error with fo3 only, and the file is missing(in fo3 folder), new vegas just crashes before the main menu(there the file isnt missing) i tried preinstalling only fo3 stopped giving me the error after preinstalling new vegas still crashes... EDIT: ok i managed to fix new vegas too, i remembered that on f3 once i deleted calibr.esm and my game started crashing on start too, soo i remembered again that i deleted the selectfirescript.esm, when i added it again the game stopped crashing haha.. whats with deleting esms?? You must have some other mod that requires those esm files as masters which is causing the crashing problem after removal

( i red in bunch of forums that those drivers break many other games too)I'm using that driver, 266.58..it seems working fine on me(GTX 460)..tested on fo3 and having no problem..(and other games)maybe you do overwrite to install that driver,. some nvidia gpu doesnt like it..you need to remove old driver and restart before installing new driver..after installing game 'usually' will detect the new driver..libvorbisfile.dll is used both of GECK and FO3, only for initializing and not used during game play(you can delete it when in game world).. i'm confused that this file gone after installing driver..
