DEMO Tutorial dazip?

I posted this on the Bioware site, but have got no replies, so I thought I'd ask here.

 

I reinstalled Dragon Age after not playing it for quite a while.

I installed all my favourite mods, & I found I have a MOD installed called DEMO Tutorial dazip.

I don't remember ever seeing this in the past.

As far as I can tell it was put there after I exported a mop file with toolset.

Are the two related?

As the mop file was exported to D:\\My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\AddIns\\DEMO\\core\\overide\\toolsetexport\\

I don't recall seeing that directory before either, or am I just getting old?

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that DEMO folder is added in when you install the toolset.

Now, why a modder would choose to have their own mod install to that directory, I have NO idea. But, if they did so, and packed up their .dazip to install it to there, the directory would have been made (if you didnt already have it) when the .dazip is extracted when installing it.

A faulty CPU had kept me out of my P67 rig for a few days, but now that it is up and running properly I did some checking.

It seems the toolset adds & installs DEMO Tutorial dazip each time I use it.

Uninstalling the dazip with ModManager, also deletes the DEMO directory.

I don't know why I never noticed it in the past. :huh:

Yeah, all I can really say is that bioware does some wacky things sometimes :laugh:

But yeah, thanks much for the confirmation that it's toolset that adds that. And for the additional info about uninstalling it :thumbsup:

As for not noticing it... well... sometimes we just aren't looking for something in particular, so we overlook it :D
