wizardmirth
Hi. I already have a unique FO:NV home/story/quest mod uploaded (still being developed but has lots of ready content).... but before that I was working extensively on a unique personal home mod for FO3. Unfortunately, I did a lot of personal game tweaks alongside the home mod that I now want to "undo" so that I can share the mod without imposing my other game tweaks on people. I did this once on an Oblivion mod with TES4Edit and some direction from a helpful responder. I'm guessing that the solution for this is much the same but I can't remember the name of the program or where I had gotten the previous info on how to reset changes. If someone could help point me in the right direction and remind me I would be grateful. I have since changed computers and am trying to get my old full set up of games and ultility progams running again.
Belthan
The programs equivalent to TES4Edit for the Fallout games are FO3Edit and FNVEdit.
wizardmirth
Thanks for that. But are there any special instructions to roll back various changes to vanilla? (Like invidual NPC and cells - to revert to vanilla while keeping other changes.)
Belthan
Once you expand your esp in the list, you can select and delete individual records; you just need to know which ones you want to keep. So if you added 3 NPCs to a cell and you only want to keep one, expand Cell, expand the records for the cell in question, look at the list of references that are placed in the cell, and delete the unwanted ones. If you also want to delete the base objects for those NPCs, expand Non-Player Character and delete those records too. Repeat until you've removed everything except what you want to keep. wizardmirth
That sound right to me, just never quite got used to it besides the occassional auto-cleaning for dirty edits. Thanks much!
wizardmirth
I wish there was some way I could help out in return, but I doubt it. In case you think there is, please let me know. I'm looking to remove all .esm dependancy on a mod in order to offer dual versions. This is for an (Oblivion) mod and just need to know at very least that the actual .esm is not altered when I try to remove it from the loaded mod. Any further instruction or any link to dual mode load game setups (such as all vanilla vs. heavily modded on the same machine) would be very much appreciated. Try this for reference and scroll down. EDIT: This has been resolved. Edited July 7, 2015 by wizardmirth
wizardmirth
Ok now I need to remove dependency on a DLC esm. I know how to do this with TES4Gecko for Oblivion but can't seem to find a version of it for FO3? Can anyone help me with removing esm dependency in my FO3 mod? Edit: This was resolved thanks!
