Vagrant0
Simply put, leveling up too fast leads to getting your ass kicked. Most of my oblivion characters have their main skills selected because they aren't specificlally combat related, but still provide a good range of stat options. Like security, alchemy, mysticism, restoration, armorer, blocking, hand to hand. This allows me to work on the more important combat skills without being overly concerned about it leveling me to a point where everything beats the hell out of me. I can also devote the first few levels to mostly blocking so that I can get my endurance up early. You can still level up yourself quickly, but it usually ends up working against you. Also, quest based enemies tend to scale up with level, while the NPCs you get to help/keep alive don't. This leads to some significant problems with the main story. Don't be too concerned about money, eventually you'll have so much you won't know what to do with it.
nazguljcg
the title says it all =/ can u please help?. Taking skills that you use a lot is the best way, if you take armorer as a major skill and then fix every weapon and piece of armor you find this will help. using sneak in every dungeon, alteration and illusion and casting the low level spells constantly(protect and starlight) hope this helps
Abramul
As in Morrowind, Alchemy is also an easy-to-advance skill. However, since Oblivion doesn't give merchants unlimited supplies, you can't level it up quite as fast, and since you can only use a limited number of potions at one time, it's far less powerful. Dullahan
While you could use setav level 20, this would lead to you getting trounced due to low skill levels. I saw in another thread that the formID for gold is 0000000007, or maybe 00000007The ID for in game is simply 'F'. Without cheating? Do quests and sell the rewards, or go hunting and sell the items you find. A nice quest is the Order of the Virtuous Blood quest, because of what you can do when you've finished it. You'll need at least 5 fame to start it though. edit: Got 1337 posts :P The id for gold is 000000F

And in the CS it's something like gold001.

If so, find an inn, rest, then keep casting spells, until you level up your magicks, and eventually level up your character, though this will take a long time. Abramul
What would happen if you use OBSE's "HammerKey" command to make a script that repeatedly presses whatever your Cast key is? Could you just start it up, and go do something else for a while?

Could you just start it up, and go do something else for a while?Don't even need to go that far. Just need to find a small weight to place over that key on the keyboard. As long as it is held down, it'll keep casting. The problem is that you can earn more than one level at a time doing that, meanwhile all those skill gains only count toward that first level up. Meaning, you can raise that stat +5 for the first level, but are stuck with everything at +1 for all your other levels unless you do something else before sleeping. It's better to just play the game. Guest Tessera
Just gonna second what a few others have said. Assuming that you don't cheat, then... ...fast leveling = gimped character at high levels. You'll just die a lot. It's an RPG. It's not meant to be rushed through. Settle back and enjoy it. :)
