GasMask10
Hello everybody I just can't seem to get NVSE to work. I have everything installed in the right place Program Files (x86) > Steam > Steam Apps > Common > Fallout New Vegas. I have Steam Community In-Game Enabled ticked to on unless the check mark means it is off but I doubt that is the case. I tried launching the game though steam, from the desktop, and FOMM and nothing seems to work. I have goggled around to find an answer, no dice. I'm currently at Version 1.2.0.314 and using NVSE 1 beta 6 which it is compatible with unless I read nvse.silverlock.org wrong and I have to wait for 1 beta 7. I just got Mo Beta and I really want to set hotkeys I mean the SCAR-L in that mod is just so sexy. Oh and Real Time Settler but I'm not a big fan of it but my brother is. P.S: it is a legit copy so I don't wanna so I don't wanna hear "It should work if it is a legit copy so yours must be pirated." Since that seems to make up a portion of answers to this type of question.

GasMask10
Um... none. But I set my UAC to "always notify" and tried running NVSE again and NVSE wasn't working still. Edited January 29, 2011 by GasMask10
Fonger
Um... none. But I set my UAC to "always notify" and tried running NVSE again and nothing happened.if UAC is tapdancing on your cake then NVSE is already not installed so you gotta re-install it

GasMask10
Just a little update. I un-installed then re-installed New Vegas and NVSE and still nothing. Ran a Virus scan picked up and deleted 35 viruses (I know I don't do virus scans enough) and currently have no mods installed but I did back them up. So yeah I'm kind of desperate. Also does it have to be a digital download not one from the disc? Edit: I fixed it :D I un-installed New Vegas and re-installed it in My Documents and now NVSE works like a charm :D! Robert1441
Gasmask...I too am having your problem with the NVSE. I'm not to sharp with computers..so please understand what I ask my sound stupid to you and others who read this. I have some mods installed. When I re-install the game in My Documents will I loose all the mods I have downloaded? Also...what dose the NVSE do... I see it in my Pipboy, as its not working. I'm in the dark on that. Like I said, sorry if this question is of the real dumb type. But there was a time when I did not know how to tie my shoes, but learned. Thank you; Robert
GasMask10
You could back up your Data folder (The folder not the Data folder contents) just copy and paste it to your desktop or another secure place that won't go away when you uninstall everything. You will also have to uninstall and re-install Steam as well. Once you have re-installed everything just copy your data folder back to Steam > Steamapps > Common > Fallout New Vegas. You might have to re-install Fallout mod manager or it will just crash on start-up. It did for me anyway. This also goes without saying, re-install NVSE. As for what NVSE does exactly, I really couldn't tell you, all I know it has been a nightmare to get working. Radrunner
Same problem. Can't get NVSE to work... here's what I've done. Any help is appreciated.-Installed Fallout NV from steam. -Checked that Fallout NV is fully updated, all files verified-Ran Fallout NV.. works-Downloaded FOMM. -Downloaded some mods... -Downloaded NVSE...-Installed NVSE as per instructions: All .ddl and .exe files into the directory (not data) folder.-NVSE won't work. So, after forum trolling, i tried a few things out-Deactivated all mods so game was running in "vanilla"-Ran game, typed "getNVSEVersion". Came back "NVSE Version 1".-"GREAT" I thought, NVSE is current, installed, working, everything should be good-Hit the pip-boy option to activate NVSE-... and promptly got the "NVSE not found" error-Repeated the above, making a point to ensure that every FalloutNV related .exe file was running as admin.... (yay for windows 7). Does anyone have any thoughts? It's not a mod conflict it's not a out-of-date issue (FNV full up to date, NVSE 1b6). The game is registering that NVSE Version 1 is there... but whenever i try to activate it in game (I have tried running the steam, FOMM, and NVSE launcher all to try to get it to work. Every single one results in the same thing) i still get the NVSE not detected message. Help?
