GasMask10
I don't activate it when I play as far as I know it does it by itself and shouldn't really need you to "activate" it. Also try launching the game though Steam... assuming it is a legal version, if not you won't get it to work at all.

I agree I shouldn't need to "activate" nvse. If i begin a new game however, i promptly get the same "NVSE not found" message. Save, try a few trouble shooting ideas out, reload, re-create a new game... keep getting the same message.
rickerhk
-Ran game, typed "getNVSEVersion". Came back "NVSE Version 1".This means that NVSE is working. -Hit the pip-boy option to activate NVSE-... and promptly got the "NVSE not found" errorThis has nothing to do with NVSE working or not. That thing in the Pipboy is from a MOD. NVSE itself doesn't add anything like that. The problem is that the mod is not detecting NVSE properly. Tilarium
Here's the weird thing for me. After re-installing the game after a long time away I DLed a bunch of mods, many use NVSE. I always use NVSE so no worries, but everytime I start a new game I get the NVSE not found box about 8 times before Doc finishes fixing me up. There weird part though, is that consoling "getNVSEVersion" comes back NVSE version 1... so it's in, just not getting recognized. So after trolling around here for a bit I've tried moving everything over to the documents folder, didn't work, I've tried un-installing and re-installing, didn't work, I've tried just ignoring the issue and that didn't work because it comes up every 3 seconds, I've tried removing the .ini's and redoing them, that didn't work, I've tried loading via the games .exe, FOMMs .exe, NVSEs .exe, from steam directly, also trying all in admin mode, none of that mattered, I've tried re DLing and installing NVSE... Maybe the link is going to the wrong version? I don't know. That's the problem I'm having, NVSE is installing but it's saying the version isn't right. I know my Fallout is updated, one of the reasons I like steam, keeps everything updated. Is the NVSE up on silverlock not the right one for the current version? Anyone? I believe on the NVSE website they state that the German No-Gore version of the game is not supported.
Darkstyler35
Well I found sth interesting. NVSE stopped working well on my game yesterday and I didn't know why. I tried to re install FOMM and NVSE with no result. Then I tried to remember if I changed sth in Seven that could have broken NVSe : no result. Finally I simply tried some other methods to launch the game and one worked for me >> right clicking on the steam icon in the system tray>> Fallout New vegas. Surprise, NVSE works now but only with this method. Hope this can help some persons ;)
Nytmare
My NVSE died today, and I have no idea why, I was running 6b the whole time, and all of a sudden it just stopped. Been playing dead money, despite the constant crashing (15min or less) and all my scripts for the mods were running perfectly.Closed the game to do some work and when I restarted it a couple of hours later I got the "nvse is not running" error message.I promptly checked it with the "getnvseversion" command, and got an error message. went to silverlock and got the new version (7b) and installed it, and I still get the same error when using the "get" command. My fallout is patched to version 1.2.0.352, Dead money is installed along with a bunch of mods. In game steam community is checked, and my Fomm is detecting the nvse files, Cause it says "launch NVSE" instead of "Launch NV", I have even used the NVSE loader Directly to try and get it to work, but still no dice. Anybody had the same problem?Got any help? Thanks
Perseverence
What do you do if the NVSE Version is ALWAYS 2, no matter what you uninstall/reinstall or where you put it?
