junjo75 Posted January 30, 2011 Share Posted January 30, 2011 So Ive been using NewCass 1.1 mod and VeronicaYoung mod for a while. I use Lings.esm as well I left them in Novac for a long period of time and had installed a number of mods since leaving them there. Going back to them, I all of a sudden noticed that their hair is not one from Lings hair mod anymore, but rather the vanilla messy hair. I opened up their respective esp files and when looking at their "heads", they show the correct Ling hair. What is strange is I tried loading them last in FOMM and they still use the vanilla hair when I play the game. I only have one other .esm (A World of Pain mod) and unchecked it because its my understanding only a .esm will overwrite an esp (no matter what the .esp load or is). But it doesnt fix it and I have no idea how my Cass and Veronica mods wont use the hairs from Lings anymore. They both still show that Lings is required in the text box listed in FOMM. Anyone have an idea why they show the correct hair in GECK, but in game they are using a vanilla hair style? :confused: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
rickerhk Posted January 30, 2011 Share Posted January 30, 2011 One of your other mods is over-riding one or more vanilla races. Lings changes the vanilla races to add the hairs. This is the only way it can be done. If another mod loads after Lings and changes a vanilla race, the hair addition gets undone. esp or esm doesn't matter. It's what loads later that wins. A lot of times, a modder will accidently make a change. It's real easy to do it accidentally with the races in the Geck because of a bug. Untick your mods one at a time until Veronica and Cass look like they should in-game. When I find the mod causing problems, I usually look at it with FNVedit and clean out the dirty edits.
