oc3
The title pretty much says it all. I accidentally deleted all but two files inside while trying to edit them and then reinsert them into the BSA. :wallbash: I tried reinstalling oblivion to an external to get the bsa, but it wants to uninstall. Tried renaming the oblivion folder to trick it and that didn't work. If I do uninstall oblivion will it wipe out anything mod related or will it just uninstall it's bsm, bsa, meshes and texures? I really don't want to reinstall the whole thing if it means having to reinstall all the mods. I would prefer to just replace the bsa file if possible. Kjkirimi
Only the original Oblivion files will be deleted, not the mods added by you.
martinthemage
You could back up your mod files & save game files (you know where they are, right?) and then reinstall, or if it's not illegal I could send you the Textures.bsa file.
Hickory
or if it's not illegal I could send you the Textures.bsa file. That is illegal! It is original, copyright game material.
oc3
Also, is anything from any of the patches incorporated into oblivion-textures-compressed.bsa? In other words, is the bsa from the game of the year edition all I would need?

Thanks, but I was asking if I did reinstall just the bsa (if that is even possible), would that bsa be sufficient. I don't know if any of the patches actually changed anything in that bsa. It may not matter anyway because I can't find anyway to unpack the cab files or install the game onto my external so that I can get just the bsa. The only way to install the original bsa legally is to reinstall the game -- that's why I said what I did.

Well, I actually think, that if a guy had already bought a legal game, then why would it be illegal to send him a part of it?

Well, I actually think, that if a guy had already bought a legal game, then why would it be illegal to send him a part of it? Because the sender would be redistributing copyright material without permission. That is illegal, no matter what you think. Be careful: thinking like that may end up seeing you being shown the door.
