Achius
I start the Oblivion Launcher, I go to data files and even having the Bethesda plug-ins (like KotN or Fighter's Stronghold) checked and then hitting play, the game acts like it's about to start, screen goes black and a window pops up, and then it vanishes after a second or two. I don't even get an error report or anything, it just closes it. I can play without mods, but I've heard the PC version was so much better, and mods help that, so it seems like kind of a waste if I can't play it with mods. Thanks in advance for any insight you may be able to give me. Balakirev
Are you running any mods? As you are running the expansions, do you have the latest patch for the last expansion? Did you buy the product?

Achius
Are you running any mods? As you are running the expansions, do you have the latest patch for the last expansion? Did you buy the product? I am trying to, I installed a good bit of them. I thought the thing was up to date, but like I said earlier, I can run it without the mods, but if a single mod is on, regardless of what it is, it will not run. When I try to run the 1.2.0416 update, it says "Old file not found. However, a file of the same name was found, No update done since file contents do not match." and then it closes the updater. The SI update went without a hitch. Then, after I updated SI, I was able to finish the Oblivion patch, but it was to no avail. I guess I need to reinstall it. Fonger
if you have installed SI Don't try the oblivion patch try the SI 1.2.0416 patch that's appropriate for the source of your game
Achius
Alright, well I think I found the problem, I had a mod file ticked on but I didn't have it's master file. Now, however, I can't start a new game, I can hit new, it prompts me if I'm sure I want to start a new game, I hit yes and nothing happens. I checked all the mods, and their master files are on, I'm not quite sure what the problem is, I'll see if I can't find something on it.
