DarkeWolf
Heyas hayk :) Sorry to hear that you're having this kind of trouble! Sounds like a big pain in the rump! K, first off, all the mods that you're downloading from Here are packed as .zip .rar .7z or some other form of compressed format. Are you extracting them from the .zip .rar or .7z files using a program like winzip winrar, peazip or 7zip (the latter two are required for dealing with 7z files) before attempting to install them?DaModder can handle .zip files, along with the DA .dazip files, but the DAUpdater can ONLY handle the .dazip format files. And also go into your override folder documents/bioware/dragon age/packages/core/override and make sure that there's not a partial install going on. If you find a folder in there with the files from the mod that you're trying to install, delete that folder before trying it again.Another location for some of those folders can also be documents/bioware/dragon age/addins. Hope that this helps you get it sorted out. If not post back :)-DW

DarkeWolf
Heyas hayk- Ugh, I forgot to give you an important piece of information. And for that, I really apologize. I TOTALLY forgot about manifest.xml :( Read this through all the way. The easiest method to try is to go back into your documents/bioware/dragon age/packages/core/override and delete the mod's folders that you put in there. Put the files and folders that you extracted from the .rar or .7z file into a .zip file. You should have the option for that by right clicking on the folder that you put them into when you extracted them.Once you have them in a .zip format, you can drag and drop the .zip file into DA Modder (DAM). http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=286Because DAM will automatically update your files. With some of the mods, if you're manually installing them, you also have to update your addins.xml file.Mods that need to update this file should include one in their folders. You need to find it, and then open it up with notepad.exe. You should be able to find that with the windows search engine on your computer. ---This if you can't get it to work via DAM---now, once you've got the mod's manfest.xml file open, you are going to need to go to C:\Users\Username\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Settings and look for a file called AddIns.xml Then when you find it- RIGHT CLICK ON IT, and choose COPY. Then go to a safe location on your harddrive, like your desktop, and PASTE a copy of it there. MAKE A BACKUP COPY, just in case! I cannot stress that enough. Make a backup copy in case you goof something up! Right click on it, and open it up with notepad too. Some modders pack their manifest.xml file inside an .erf file. If thats the case then you will need to be able to use the toolset in order to be able to get to them. WHich really sucks because a lot of people can't get that to work on their computers :verymad:IF it's packed up in a .erf file, the file SHOULD be located inside the mod's folders here- In module/data.Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\AddIns\ModnameX\module\dataRight click on it, and choose properties. The properties window will open up on a tab called GENERAL. On the general tab, you'll see where it reads Opens With: Click on that where it says [CHANGE] and set it to use the dragonage toolset. You'll have to point it in the direction of where you installed the toolset to. It should be something like C:\Program Files\Dragon Age\tools But it will be in the install directory of your game itself. Now once you've got your manifest.xml file open (Either in toolset or in notepad) look for the following text in the file. I've got it in spoiler tags, so just click on where it reads {Spoiler} to see the code. You are going to want to copy it from where it reads <AddInsList> alllllllll the way down to where it reads </AddInItem> Once you've got allll that copied, you are going to switch over to your AddItems.xml file and then copy and paste that into the file. BUT make SURE that you don't interrupt those two tags that I just highlighted in yellow and orange of another mod. Otherwise, you'll botch them up.My recommendation is to start at the very top, where it reads-<AddInsList> Put your cursor right in front of where I highlighted it red, and tap your ENTER key on your keyboard. Then put your cursor up one line, at the very beginning of the blank line you just made, and then paste in the code from the manifest.xml Make sure to click on file>>save when you have finished editing your addins.xml file. AND MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE BACKUPS OF THAT FILE!! <AddInsList> <AddInItem UID="jin_enigma" Name="Enigma" ExtendedModuleUID="Single Player" Priority="100" Enabled="1" State="2" Format="1">
<en-us>Enigma</en-us> <fr-fr>Enigma</fr-fr> <it-it>Enigma</it-it> <de-de>Enigma</de-de> <es-es>Enigma</es-es> <pl-pl>Enigma</pl-pl> <ru-ru>Enigma</ru-ru> <pseudo>Enigma</pseudo> <cs-cz>Enigma</cs-cz> <hu-hu>Enigma</hu-hu>

<en-us>Enigma</en-us> <fr-fr>Enigma</fr-fr> <it-it>Enigma</it-it> <de-de>Enigma</de-de> <es-es>Enigma</es-es> <pl-pl>Enigma</pl-pl> <ru-ru>Enigma</ru-ru> <pseudo>Enigma</pseudo> <cs-cz>Enigma</cs-cz> <hu-hu>Enigma</hu-hu>

<Rating DefaultText=""> <en-us></en-us> <fr-fr></fr-fr> <it-it></it-it> <de-de></de-de> <es-es></es-es> <pl-pl></pl-pl> <ru-ru></ru-ru> <pseudo></pseudo> <cs-cz></cs-cz> <hu-hu></hu-hu> </Rating> <RatingDescription DefaultText=""> <en-us></en-us> <fr-fr></fr-fr> <it-it></it-it> <de-de></de-de> <es-es></es-es> <pl-pl></pl-pl> <ru-ru></ru-ru> <pseudo></pseudo> <cs-cz></cs-cz> <hu-hu></hu-hu> </RatingDescription>
<en-us></en-us> <fr-fr></fr-fr> <it-it></it-it> <de-de></de-de> <es-es></es-es> <pl-pl></pl-pl> <ru-ru></ru-ru> <pseudo></pseudo> <cs-cz></cs-cz> <hu-hu></hu-hu>
<ReleaseDate>10/12/2009</ReleaseDate> <Version /> <GameVersion /> <Type>1</Type> <Publisher DefaultText=""> <en-us></en-us> <fr-fr></fr-fr> <it-it></it-it> <de-de></de-de> <es-es></es-es> <pl-pl></pl-pl> <ru-ru></ru-ru> <pseudo></pseudo> <cs-cz></cs-cz> <hu-hu></hu-hu> </Publisher> <PrereqList /> </AddInItem> <AddInItem UID="PartyRecruiting" Name="Party Recruiting" ExtendedModuleUID="Single Player" Priority="100" Enabled="1" State="2" Format="1">
<en-us>Party Recruiting</en-us> <fr-fr>Party Recruiting</fr-fr> <it-it>Party Recruiting</it-it> <de-de>Party Recruiting</de-de> <es-es>Party Recruiting</es-es> <pl-pl>Party Recruiting</pl-pl> <ru-ru>Party Recruiting</ru-ru> <pseudo>Party Recruiting</pseudo> <cs-cz>Party Recruiting</cs-cz> <hu-hu>Party Recruiting</hu-hu>

<en-us>Party Recruiting</en-us> <fr-fr>Party Recruiting</fr-fr> <it-it>Party Recruiting</it-it> <de-de>Party Recruiting</de-de> <es-es>Party Recruiting</es-es> <pl-pl>Party Recruiting</pl-pl> <ru-ru>Party Recruiting</ru-ru> <pseudo>Party Recruiting</pseudo> <cs-cz>Party Recruiting</cs-cz> <hu-hu>Party Recruiting</hu-hu>

<Rating DefaultText=""> <en-us></en-us> <fr-fr></fr-fr> <it-it></it-it> <de-de></de-de> <es-es></es-es> <pl-pl></pl-pl> <ru-ru></ru-ru> <pseudo></pseudo> <cs-cz></cs-cz> <hu-hu></hu-hu> </Rating> <RatingDescription DefaultText=""> <en-us></en-us> <fr-fr></fr-fr> <it-it></it-it> <de-de></de-de> <es-es></es-es> <pl-pl></pl-pl> <ru-ru></ru-ru> <pseudo></pseudo> <cs-cz></cs-cz> <hu-hu></hu-hu> </RatingDescription>
<en-us></en-us> <fr-fr></fr-fr> <it-it></it-it> <de-de></de-de> <es-es></es-es> <pl-pl></pl-pl> <ru-ru></ru-ru> <pseudo></pseudo> <cs-cz></cs-cz> <hu-hu></hu-hu>
<ReleaseDate>7/2/2010</ReleaseDate> <Version /> <GameVersion /> <Type>1</Type> <Publisher DefaultText=""> <en-us></en-us> <fr-fr></fr-fr> <it-it></it-it> <de-de></de-de> <es-es></es-es> <pl-pl></pl-pl> <ru-ru></ru-ru> <pseudo></pseudo> <cs-cz></cs-cz> <hu-hu></hu-hu> </Publisher> <PrereqList /> </AddInItem>
Hayk94
Oh thank you this really helped me but in the way this this all I think I realized what the real problem is.. Some mods were installed perfectly. But some mods do not.And the problem is that there isn't enough space in my hard drive C:\ .. So , my friend, is there any way to change the DAmodder's temp folder place ?
DarkeWolf
Heyas hayk- not a problem at all. I'm glad to help out whenever I can :) Hrmmmm... thats a pretty serious problem, if you aren't having enough space on C. Not jsut because of DA mods, but also because windows and other programs are going to want more room on your hard drive.I dont know of a reliable method for changing the override directory. Thats pretty much coded directly into the game. IF you have a second hard drive, or another partition other than C that is usable, I'd recommend reinstalling some of your software to that, to clear up more space on your drive. (dont just move the folders for programs to another drive. Because when they are installed, windows writes their locations into your Registry. And if the registry location is different than where the program files actually Are, they won't work.) I'd also recommend a program for cleaning out temp files located around on your computer. Ccleaner is a good one, but just make sure that you uncheck registry entries as part of the clean up process. I dont recommend doing the registry bit, unless you really know what you are doing with the registry. Depending on how long it's been since you've cleaned out some of your folders, this can clear up a LOT of space. Sometimes several gigabytes.http://www.piriform.com/ for ccleaner. Wish that I could be more help than that :(
