[REQz] A Black Sword

Trouble with collision? For some odd reason, it is hit or miss regarding the simple model collisions (squares and cylinders)...sometimes they bounce wildly when you drop them, sometimes not. To get around that, you use NifSkope to copy your model into and over an existing vanilla weapon that has similar collision models you want to use...then delete the original model and modify the xyz coordinates of the original collision to match your model.

Or....

You can create an extremely simplistic outline of your model and create a convex collision model off it to make it work with your model. I have been using this technique lately because convex collision exports and works perfectly straight out of Blender. Typically, you only use convex for oddly-shaped objects because it is more CPU intensive to calculate convex collision than the square or cylinder collisions...but that is where the super-lowpoly version of the model comes into play. ;)

Ok, I think I am pretty much finished the sword, well I'm happy with it anyway. :) I have tested it in game and it seems to work fine. It now falls as expected if you decide to throw it away. I just forgot to set the weapon to metal before exporting the last time I tested it. All that there is to do now is just package it and upload it.
