hqt99
I am hoping to find a mod that lets you tweak the auto save system. I would like it to give you the option to set when you want it to save, the frequency of how often it saves. As well as the option to just turn it off. This way people can set it to save every few min or never if they choose. It would also be very nice to include an option to auto delete old saves from X min/hour ago that way there is no save file clutter slowing it down. I understand lots of people just say "use f5" and that is a great option to have to be sure. But when you are in the game and exploring or just plain getting immersed in the game. It takes away a lot of that immersion to think to your self, "Oh that's right this is a game I better stop what I am doing and save". It is even worse if you play with a controller since you have to set it aside to hit f5 else use the menu system. The ability to control this feature of the game I feel would make a nice addition to the game. That way the people who don't want it changed can benefit from the auto delete old files and people who do can use all of the options.
MotoSxorpio
Autosave options are in the INI. There is an option to disable. You can set the timer for when. You can set whether autosaves happen on 4 events.SkyrimPrefs.ini, change to "1" for enabled: [MAIN]bSaveOnPause=0bSaveOnTravel=0bSaveOnWait=0bSaveOnRest=0 SkyrimPrefs.ini, set to "0" to turn off: [saveGame]fAutosaveEveryXMins=15.0000 There's also an Autosave mod, uses papyrus scripting, that adds more than the 4 events in first spoiler: Click Me. Hope this helps in considering your request features. Good luck! :)
hqt99
I am fairly new to this site (in fact I am totally new to it), but you mention "SkyrimPrefs.ini" is this file in "The Witcher 3" ? Before I posted this I did a search for that fine in my system and the only one I found was in the Skyrim "my games" folder. If it is some where could you maybe direct me to it? Or did I totally mess up and post this in a Skyrim community... that does sound like something I would do.
