How to enable developers console

someone tried walking me through it on another thread, but im still not getting it. i made the short cut. put " -enabledeveloperconsole at the end of it, set the key binding and it never opens. its been set to tilde, kanji, and grave (which unless idk my buttons, i thought were the same button next to the 1) and ive even set it to "A" just to see and still nothing. idk what im doing wrong. ive tried running it as an administrator like the wiki says you might have to do and still nothing.

this is what my target is (copy and paste) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Dragon Age\DAOriginsLauncher.exe" -enabledeveloperconsole

and this is what my key binding is (copy and paste) OpenConsole_0=Keyboard::Button_Grave

it was set to grave before i changed anything so i put it back and still nothing... and just to be sure the (~`) button is the Grave/Kanji/Tilde button right? (ive also tried it set to kanji and tilde like i said)

please help :(

See corrections above.

Oh, and I presume from your use of "\Program Files (x86)" that you're running a 64-bit version of Windows.

If not, remove the " (x86)" as well.

Heyas Hoofhearted :)

I'm hoping that this is really something very simple. Try tapping your ~ key, without touching the [shift] key. That will completely throw it off. so basically tap it as ` instead.

I hope that that gets you going with the console.
