Skyrim Inactivity / Timeout Screen

I've searched the forums and the Web looking for an answer to this and so far no luck so maybe someone here knows. Not posting in Tech Support because it's not a malfunction or a problem, just a wishlist item.

Is there a way to change the timeout duration (or deactivate it) in Skyrim? What I mean is, when you are inactive for a (very) short period of time the screen kicks into third-person mode and the camera rotates around your character until you touch the keyboard or mouse to resume.

I want to shut this function OFF, or change the duration of time to a longer interval before it kicks in (like at least 20 min). The reason is when making video that does not require camera movement the screen times out and interrupts the video recording.

Since it gets turned on there has to be a way to turn it off, unless it's hard-coded then I'm out of luck. Either in the Console Commands or In the Creation Kit, I imagine, if I knew where to look.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I found this thread:

gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/183372/is-there-a-way-to-permanently-disable-the-orbiting-idle-camera (check and follow at your own risk of course, I didn't want to make a straight link to it)

It seems to show an ini change to make the delay to 30 min or to disable. I have not tested and any ini changes you make you do so at your peril. Please make a backup of your ini PRIOR to changing anything. Store it in a safe location in case you need to change it back. Any saves you make with this change could be effected and perhaps un-useable. Make a clean save and put in a safe place before any changes.

Again I have not tried these I just found them checking out your question. It could make your computer or yourself explode/take over the universe/create a new fruit salad for all I know.

@Lisnpuppy -- Oh wow, thanks! No wonder I couldn't find it, it would never occur to me in a century that the function was called "Auto Vanity" rather than "camera timeout" or "screensaver" or whatever. Sheesh.

The simple .ini tweak worked perfectly, and it's just a screen-saving function so delaying it does not worry me. However, you needn't worry about my backing things up first. I never change anything, or install any mods (however low-impact they are) without having redundant backups of everything first, so no worries. To date my much-experimented-on save file has lasted for 1,300 hours of play and is running smoothly so I'm good.

While I was hiding in the rocks at the side of a road testing the 30-min delay tweak two werewolves ran by chasing down a deer then ran off into the distance, a dragon flew over and circled around (presumably looking for me) then flew away, a group of giants got in a fight with some Thalmor Justiciars and bashed them to death (go giants), then I was treated to a gorgeous cloudy sunset. Time-lapse video projects here I come.

Thanks for the info! Cheers!
