TTW - BoS Securitrons Patrolling The DC Wasteland

DC doesn't exist in Fallout: New Vegas, so that'd be a pretty hard mod to make.

The title is TTW....

AS for the mod itself, it doesn't sound to difficult. Making the securitron would be a simple re-texture, and I am sure adding them to patrol lists isn't hard either.

TTW as well as TTW related mods (I had made one or two) was pulled from nexus (by staff I believe). I don't know if all of it's previous threads were closed, but when I see mention to it in current threads, the topic is usually closed. Note this isn't my opinion, simply policy that I'v observed, and try to abide by since it's nexus's. The proper place to request this would be TTW's site.

But there're still TTW mods on nexus so I would like to know more about this policy.

Google is your friend. TTW's former link before it was pulled; http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/Mods/46319/?

The locked topic http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/681090-a-tale-of-two-wastelands/

A youtube video of a mod I made for TTW (broken steel fix) that was pulled;

I'm sure you can find plenty of additional info via search or contact a moderator for a more detailed description of policy.

I took a peek to the locked topic and as I was able to read the problem was that the former TTW was actually sharing FO3 files and that's illegal.

The new one takes the files from your games directly so no illegal files are shared.

So I feel that TTW mods are actually legal because they'really using files that you already have inside your game, youndon't actually share a whole securitron in this example.

Then you'd better read it again. Kuroitsune is no noob, he knows what he's doing & he never distributed FO3 files. The TTW ESM is like pointers to refs in the FO3 esms. The FO3 esms and other resources were always provided by the players *from* their own (FO3) games, never by him.

As did the original, it wouldn't have lasted even a short time if Kuroitsune had been ULing FO3 files.

so no illegal files are shared.

Nor were they from teh very beginning.

Nexus policy isn't going to change, regardless of how you feel. You'v misunderstood some very crucial points.

Nor are we discussing what is legal, but rather nexus policy. Just as using FO3 only assets in your own FONV game isn't illegal (if you own both games, and don't distribute them), or at least it's unlikely the copyright police are going to bust down your door, but it would be a violation of nexus policy to distribute them to others.

But all the above aside, wouldn't common sense tell you that if Nexus was fine with TTW (new or old), it would be on the site? Nexus is by far the largest FONV modding community, dont' you think they (TTW authors) would have preferred the exposure?

In the FONV forum, some of the requested resources can be made (the texture) but you can't implement them in the FO3 worldspace without the TTW assets.....so Gribbleshnibit8's quote is spot on;

DC doesn't exist in Fallout: New Vegas, so that'd be a pretty hard mod to make.

Why not request it on the TTW site?

But hey, you don't have to take my word for it, simply contact a moderator if you think I'm blowing smoke.
