Karimloo
So I'mma walkin around and everything is fine, and cold, but then I hear an arrow whizz, I wonder, what? I then hear people screaming MURDER MURDER! I run towards the sound, and see the guards running over to my precious Fighters Guild (I'm the Guild Master) they go in swords drawn and I jump in too, inside, they start killing everyone! My recruits kill one guard and the guards in the end murder all my people, I stood there like.. Why? Problem?
vvk78
LOL. Maybe the guards don't like their work (protection) to be outsourced to the Fighter's Guild. Since you are the last one remaining in the FG, I think you are next on the hit-list. I would sleep with a drawn sword, if I were you. :teehee: On a serious note though, it sounds like a random glitch (or unforeseen interactions) in the AI mechanics. Somehow, one of the fighters ended up killing an innocent (maybe the arrows were meant for your head :whistling:), the townspeople raised the alarm and the guards killed the murderer (and all his supporters). Do you have Reneer's Guard Overhaul or any other mod that affects Guards or Guild Fighters? Disable any suspected mods, reload your savegame before the incident happened, and see if it occurs again. These are some of the random events that make this game a whole lotta fun! No one ever said that being a Guild Master was gonna be easy peasy!
coreypikes
I've seen this happen before. Usually when one NPC is training (archers are in my experience are the biggest cause of this issue) and another NPC blindly walks in front of the target. Goes down hill from there. Also, vvk78 is correct, mods can cause serious issues with the AI. The mod Cats and Rats has been a problem for me. One archer (guard) shoots at a rat and a NPC walks in front of it as the arrow is launched. Chaos ensued. Bloodiest day the IC Market has ever had. Funny thing is, the rat survived. majikmonkee
This always sucks the most when casualties are non-essential quest givings NPC's. The Uderfrykte Matron killed half the residents of the Imperial City during one of my playthroughs, that was depressing, of course, that wasn't entirely random...
