An optional layout suggestion

There are many people that search through the nexus to find little mods that all together creat a great game expirence. Why not make it a bit easier?

I dont want to just have super mods and FTOM's, there are several that I know that I think deserve many more downloads. Unfortunatley, we're just too lazy to click some of them, or their descriptions to not really appeal to the reader.

Make an optional new layout, have the person search for the specific category of mods they want, or maybe even a button to give a list of comletely random mods.

Each box will not only contain a description and endorisments, but a few thumbnails from images of the mod, including user uploaded, and a list of previous comments, so we know if the mod is actually worth the time downloading.

I find that this will make it much easier to find mods that would appeal to us. Some of the mods that deserve more downloads will get way more, and we know what mods where made with little no no effort, saving that downloading time.

Have you looked at the browse categories? You already can pick a type of mod (category) and see a pic and short description of each mod that fits that category.

There is also a tag search, but it's up to the mod maker to tag his file initially, then there is a community tag that takes multiple people tagging a mod to have that tag be searchable.

If you are looking for a good mod, I don't think a random selector will help much.

I was thinking a "You downloaded this, so we recommend this" section added, kind of like what Amazon does when you buy or look at products, or a change to the Latest Files section on the front pages to where members can set them up to show new files that match one or more of the user's preferred categories...

Yes, I know there ar ethings for specific searches, and with the random selector, you can get a lost of mods all with previous comments on them so you know if its good.

Hmm, I dont think that would work verry much for people wanting to find more mods. not in the same category
