lordkiva Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 so i just installed the game started it up but its not finding the .ini anywhere where is it, i just reinstalled from steam cause my old disc version decided not to launch anymore to point it just not work. do i need to actually start the game or something idk what to do i am trying to achiveinvalidate but also the nexus manger can't find the thing.
M48A5 Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 The game must be successfully launched using FalloutLauncher.exe so that your graphics are set and the FALLOUT.INI is created.

evlbond Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 (edited) just thought id add to this post as i was having a similar problem. -Windows 10-Game wouldn't launch-Google searches said edit ini file which didn't exist. What fixed it for me was when i tried to launch the game windows10 threw up an incompatible message on the screen and when you clicked it,it launched an installer for "games for windows marketplace".Installed it and then the game launched with no issues! http://download.gfwl.xboxlive.com/content/gfwl-public/redists/production/gfwlivesetup.exe Also installed the unofficial patch right after. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/download/1000009564 This unofficial patch wasn't able to be installed successfully until i got into the games main menu and closed the game.
