davidlallen
Obviously YMMV, but in fallout, the camera only moves when I walk or turn. If you introduce one bit where the camera moves without me, I will be confused.

Nihilisaurus
It would only occur during dialog. And hence be out of place with the entire rest of the game. Hell even VATS keeps close to you most of the time. As for B, the mod is an offshoot of immersive timescale IIRC, the world keeps going about its behind you and whoever you are talking too. AllanOcelot
Due to the fact that in the fallout universe , it never actually happens. Its just not fallout style. Fallout has always been a heavy RPG, one of those elements that immerses you is the camera being focused on the player. I can see it being a nice change, for example, the camera changes veiws while talking, and the dialog box is displayed at the bottom of the screen. But, until I see a test build I just cannot wrap my head around it. sorry. aha. :) Good idea though.
Quetzlsacatanango
You could make a little machinima, save it as a bik, and play it via script.

First person wouldn't actually be enabled in the first place.Regardless, we've recently switched to the Unreal engine, which our scripter is far more familiar with. So most of this is moot anyway. simplywayne90
I'd love to see some way to add cutscenes and things to Fallout, while looking for resources for another thread I came across this mod for various film effects. Cinema Tech Obviously it's not much help if any at all but I'll keep looking. Also as a thought is there any type of script to force the camera to an area? That could be a way to make cutscenes with NPC's, at the moment I can't think of a way to include the PC in a cutscene but I'll keep brainstorming. simplywayne90
Depending on the cutscene would need different methods. I'm not a modder but I'd guess that a script in the engine activates when you start dialog, the script cause the game to close in and create the dialog we all know. So if possible this script would need to be altered or copied if you only want the cutscene look on specific conversions. Something like OnDialog Move Camera XYZ distance from PC Really I'm spouting non-sense likely but I've been known to randomly get it right. If you want to make like a little movie or machinima cutscene with 2 NPCs that don't include the PC then maybe you can force the PC to act as a camera, scripting it so you force the PC to look and move where you want the camera to be. And perhaps even using invisable walls and texturing to cause film grains and things like in Mass Effect. There are problems with that method however, things such as player speed and physics, so you are limited to the view the player has when it comes to height and speed. Not to mention I'm sure it'd require a lot of scripting and may be too much effort for what you want.
