Akrasia
Although I have played Oblivion on the PC for about a year it was not until I installed Emma's Aleswell Quest house mod that I came across the Zero Visibility quest! During the conversation with Diram Sereth I get a CTD. I have used the setstage console command to skip this part and found that I then got a CTD at Fort Caractacus. I have loaded an early save, at the prison sewer exit, disabled all mods except for UOP and a necessary custom race mod, resaved and attempted the quest again with the same result. I am using QTP3 but have had no problems elsewhere in the game, no stuttering and this is the first CTD I have had with this installation. Is there anything else I could try to resolve this before I resort to using setstage to finish the quest?

Akrasia
Unfortunately the problem seems not to be concerned with any mods. I have done a fresh install so that I have only Oblivion.esm DLCShiveringIsles.esp and Knights.esp, with no replacement meshes or textures and attempted the quest straight from the prison sewer exit and got the same CTD. I can only assume that there is a problem with my Oblivion Disc though I did wonder if it was perhaps something to do with my graphics card. I only think of this because of the invisibility element or am I being ridiculous? I run a Dual Radeon HD5870 4GB Graphics Card. Addition: Also tried an install on my old PC with the same result so it does not seem to be a Graphics Card problem either. It seems difficult to find a store with Oblivion in stock, is Steam the way to go? Hickory
I can't advise one way or the other about Steam, as I don't use it. But if you want a hard copy, you could try Amazon, or eBay.
Smooth613
The STEAM version is identical to the Retail (disc) version concerning mods and modding utilities. They all work the same. STEAM never has been, nor ever will be, the reason for modding troubles with Oblivion.
