Texmod breaks my Long War

So Im trying to use a few texmods with XCOM the long war, and even with a clean install, any ATTEMPT to use Texmod completely breaks The Long War. I cant choose a home country, and the first mission loads literally forever, forcing me to end the process.

Did you ever find a fix for this? I have just come across the same problem.
