Razorcane
It's been a while since I played Oblivion, but when I opened the map, I noticed the markers were off-center, or rather the map was off-center. Basically the map-markers don't line up with the map. Imperial City is located in the northwest part of the mountains. Can someone tell me how to fix this, it's rather annoying. David Brasher
It sounds like you might have a mod that gives you a customized map, or else a dirty mod that fouls up your map settings and keeps the vanilla map. What I would do, is download or make a mod that edits the map, and then look at the conflict detector to see what conflicts with the new mod I obtained specifically for creating a conflict. Then I would remove the new mod and all those that it conflicts with and see if the map was back to normal. With a little experimentation, you could pinpoint the bad mod. I had a similar problem with this in another game, I think World of Warcraft. Changing the resolution fixed the problem, but it didn't work here. Hickory
Do you have any mod that alters the in-game UI?
Razorcane
Do you have any mod that alters the in-game UI?I do but it hasn't ever caused problems before this. I did have a colored map mod but it just magically disappeared(and the map is still colored.)

I did have a colored map mod but it just magically disappeared(and the map is still colored.) The coloured map mod is almost certainly your problem. UI mods alter game .xml files. Even if you remove the esp, the xml edits are still in place.
David Brasher
Your colored map mod may be an espless replacer mod. If you go into your directories and delete, move, or rename-to-disable this file: Oblivion\Data\Textures\Menus\map\world\cyrodiil_resized There is the chance that your map will go back to normal and your markers will be centered again. (This will be the vanilla Oblivion brown-colored map.) If this test does not work, then it probably is your user interface mod that is troubling you. You could turn it off and see if it fixes your problem.
