Bethesda word of mouth - They will never make a elder scrolls mmo

too late bethesda studios has been working on an mmo for the last 3 years

Well that's not even slightly true.

I'd love to see a source for that, because I'm pretty sure you're wrong.

I read that article, curiously they do not explicitly mention the project being an Elder Scrolls MMO - and considering the history of TES I still do not think there ever will be one. The game is big enough for single player, for an MMO it would have to be gargantuan.

It also says, right there on the first page, that the studio is "Zenimax Online Studios".

It's not Bethesda.

Simply because Zenimax is Bethesda's parent company does not make them inherently related, and though it may be a Bethesda property, Bethesda themselves aren't actually working on it.

Also, nowhere does it say that it's an Elder Scrolls MMO.

bethesda would be stupid to not make an elder scrolls mmo. for bethesda to open an mmo studio and NOT make it based their golden goose elder scrolls would be one of the dumbest moves in gaming history. also i never said todd and his team would be working on it but zenimaxx online and bethesda studios they do work in the same building. its gonna be a elder scrolls mmo.

So it's a lot smarter to make an MMO to milk one of their best franchises for every single drop, taking away every single thing that made their series unique, and turn it mainstream?

You'll forgive me if I doubt you. :psyduck:

they could make an elder scrolls mmo take place 1000-2000 years in the past, that way it wouldnt affect the main elder scrolls game in the least. its really not that big of a problem

It's not a matter of continuity, it's the fact that they're taking away the best aspects of the game to fit to popular status quo.
