Files stop downloading at 99%

I'm really sorry if this is in the wrong area and has been asked millions of times before :T I did do a quick search to see if there was any previous questions on this... But anyways...

I'm trying to download a few mod files eg Better Cities Permanent Resource file only to have it stop at 99% and say that it cannot save to computer due to the source not being able to be read and to contact the server administrator or try again later...

I've never had this problem before until now... What can be done to solve this? :S

I've tried antivirus/firewall allowing it and turned them off and also contacted who I believe is the server admin and ALSO tried again later many times and let it run over night and using a different web browser and computer. . .

From the steps you say you have taken, I would guess that the problem is with your internet connection. Try turning your router off overnight, and if you still have problems, contact your service provider and explain the situation to them. There's not a lot anybody else can say if you have tried different browsers, times and computer. That would rule out your browser choking. And the Nexus servers are pretty solid, so if you've tried several times, I don't see any other cause from the little information available.

Hickory is better at this stuff than I am, but I do have one suggestion: if you use Firefox, try getting that browser plugin called DownThemAll that you see links for whenever you download on the Nexus. It really is quite a helpful tool, it doesn't need any kind of setup or configuration -- works "right out of the box" as Dark0ne says -- and it may help your stuck downloads. If nothing else, it will at least save what you've downloaded thus far so you can resume the download whenever you've got this resolved, and not have to start all over again.
