Editing NPCs Appearances...Invisible....

I was hoping someone could point me towards some tutorials, or assist me, with a problem I've been having xD

I've been trying to edit Eyja's appearance in the Romancing Eyja mod to make her a different race....and every time I do, I load the game up, and she's invisible. >.>... I've tried everything I can think of, including only editing the face and not editing the race at all... and I'm at a loss as to why this is happening or how to go about fixing it....or even where to get tutorials / guides on the subject x_x

Please help!

Thanks.

Ok, there is the way that I do it, but it is a little complex. You will need Tes4Gecko installed for this to work.

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8665

I use Tes4Gecko to merge .esp's so I can change NPC's into different none vanilla races if I wish to, Follow these steps and you should achieve what you need.

First make a folder with any name on your desktop and place all folders from the Eyja mod into it ( meshes, textures, sounds, menus etc ) and also the esp for that mod as well.

Then place the folders from the cute elf race and or chocolate elf race into the same folder, saying yes to merging the meshes, textures. sounds etc folders and then add the race's esp.

Then copy and paste the Oblivion.esm file into that folder as well.

Now activate Tes4Gecko hit set directory and choose the folder on your desktop as the target and click select. Now hit merge plugins and a new window will open showing you the Eyja esp and the cute elf/chocolate elf esp.

Give the Eyja esp priority 1 and the other/s priority 2 and click ok. Give your plugin a name, and let Tes4 do it's thing.

Now you will have that merged .esp in the same folder as the eyja esp, the races .esp and the oblivion.esm......delete all esp's and the esm leaving just your merged.esp and the meshes, textures, sounds etc in that folder.

Now highlight all folders and the merged.esp, right click, choose add to archive and make them into a rar file.

Now you can use the OBMM to install this just as you would with any mod.

Open the merged.esp in the CS when installed and just find Eyja in the NPC list and you will be able to change her to your chosen race.

Told you it's complex :s

Oh, and dont forget to deactivate the Eyja mod and the races mods you use before installing your merged one.

One more thing I forgot....Eyja will no longer have a voice if you do this, and all her dialogue will be presented as subtitles.
