Companions won't work

I don't mean to keep bugging everyone, however, each and every time I install a companion --any companion-- the game crashes to the desktop.

 

Here is what I have for mods so far:

 

1. Type3 Leather Armor
2. Ling. esm
3. FO3 Face Presets
4. D6_BetterVeronica.esp
5. 26_Fixes.esp
6. thEyelashesFNV_Females_only.esp
7. Familar_Faces_followers.esp
8. brookenvstrangertopless.esm
9. AsharasHairConversion.esp
10. Beware of Girl Type3 Hi-Rez
11. D3D9_dll_ATI
12. Desert_Succubus
13. Navada_ Skies_Full

I am also using NVMM and FNVEdit

Have you checked your mod load with FNVEdit? You may have a conflict that isn't obvious. Load order may be a problem. Pay attention to any conflict, decide which version of the entry you like the best and change the others to match it. I have fixed multiple conflicts that way.

 

It may also be that you are not using the required mods for the companion chosen. FNVEdit will show you if any masters are missing. I personally use the NosCo companion system and companions.
