I'm not sure how to fix Skyui error code 4 because on Skyui's troubleshooting page, it says to do this. Open My Documents/My Games/Skyrim/Skyrim.ini with a text editor and reset the following values to their respective defaults

[Papyrus]
iMinMemoryPageSize=128
iMaxMemoryPageSize=512
iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=76800

I cant do this because i do not have these. What I do have though is. [General]

Ok, first: this is the subforum for general site feedback and suggestions - not mod related problems. Second, for questions related to a specific mod it's usually best to go to that mod's comments section, switch to "view it as forum thread" and then search that thread for relevant keywords that might help you solve your issue. If you don't find any relevant keywords, then you could post your question there where someone familiar with the mod is most likely to see it.

Lastly, in your case the answer appears to be simple. You need to use a text editor to open your ini file and change the values to those described. A text editor, which seems to be the part you have problems with, is any program that allows you to write or edit text - in this case the best choice for that is notepad.

Go to the location specified, double click on the file specified and it should automatically open in notepad for you.

Moved to proper forum.

If you have Windows, then you have a text editor. It's part of Windows. It's called Notepad.

Easy way, click on the file you want to edit. Windows will ask what program you want to use to open the file - one of the choices will be notepad, click on it and it will automatically open the file for editing.

If you really don't know how to edit a text file, I suggest taking a computers for beginners course before doing any modding. Because that is one of the easiest things involved.

Also ANY word processor can open txt files and edit them.

If you use mod organizer it has its own copy of the ini file. There can also be ini files in your skyrim\data folder and the game will load them if they match the names of esm or esp files you're using.

And don't forget to look for the bInvalidateOlderFiles setting which can also cause that error since it can prevent the SKSE scripts from loading correctly.
