sadievic
I want a mod that adds in lots of different weather types, like COT does however I have the legendary edition, with all SOS in my load order but I dont want to have to download all the compatibility patches because I dont want to overload my load order which is at 44. I like pure weather however Its very dark at night and Im not a big fan of that. Is there a mod that will add in new weather types and not make my nights dark? Would love to know
0varon
Hi,50, even 100 or more plugins should good to go, but depends on your system, installed plugins and their load order (LOOT is recommended) and last but not least your Skyrim ini's.Here is a part of my functional plugin load order, weather and lighting related. Most of them are patches or patched versions for COT.You could try it: ClimatesOfTamriel.esmAOS.esp (Audio Overhaul For Skyrim 2)Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Major City Interiors.espRealistic Lighting Overhaul - Dungeons.espRealistic Lighting Overhaul - Dawnguard Interiors.espBetter Dynamic Snow.espClimatesOfTamriel-Dawnguard-Patch.espClimatesOfTamriel-Dragonborn-Patch.espWondersofWeather.espCoT-WeatherPatch.espCoT_SnowPatch_HQSnowVersion.espAOS2_CoTWP Patch.espClimatesOfTamriel-Nights-Level-1.espExpandedSnowSystems-CoT.espCoT-WeatherPatch_DB.espRSPatch.esp (Real Shelter Full Release))CoT-WeatherPatch_ESS.espESS Patch for CoT DG Patch.esp (Expanded Snow System)mintylightningmod.espMintyLightningMod_COT_Patch.espTrueStorms.esprandomthunder.espTrueStorms-CoT-WeatherPatch.espConsistent Stars - CoT.espSupreme Storms - Cot Version.espCoT-WeatherPatch_SupStorms.espAOS2_SupremeStorms_CoTWP Patch.espAOS2_TrueStorms Patch.espSupreme Fog - CoT.espTrueStorms-SupremeStorms-CoT.espRSRainCOT.esp (Real Shelter Full Realease) I've searched on nexus for other weather mods, but in the end I always come back to COT.It's my opinion I know. Edited June 30, 2015 by 0varon
sadievic
Oh thats good to know. Before I had 58 mods and it still worked fine. I only had one CTD and that was after 40+ hours so I guess I would be fine with a little more mods. I have another question though, since I have each Sounds of Skyrim installed and I have the Legendary edition, would I have to download each patch for each DLC? 0varon
If there are patches for the DLCs you should use them. Some believe SOS could lead to CTDs. I'm using AOS2 + some other soundmods. To avoid CTDs try LOOT (plugin load order) https://loot.github.io/For stability I recommend the 'Unofficial Patches' as well. sadievic
So I decided to run COT with RLO, however I get an error on Loot saying 'This plugin is incompatible with 'ClimatesOfTamrielEsm.' But both are present. Is there something I am missing? Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it
0varon
Yeah, good decision. :laugh:Other than ELFX or RCN, RLO has more realistic colorsand good dynamic shadows and isn't too dark in dungeons. Should work. See my load order above. RLO (Vers.4+) +COT:-------------RLO = install only interior plugins, avoid weathersCOT = install (exterior) plugins, weathers Edited June 30, 2015 by 0varon
sadievic
Ahhh thanks, I chose to install Enhanced Lights and FX though. I much prefer it. I heard loads of people were talking about how amazing and stable CTD and Memory Patch ENBoost made their game perform. Would you recommend it? 0varon
ELFX is only my second choice but you decide. I'm using a ENB also, so it could be different.ENB incorporates ENBoost.I really recommend it.
sadievic
So I decided to download ENBoost and its all worked fine however when I try to tweak the ini file for the ENBoost and save the changes. it denies access. I've ran it in administrator and it still denies it. What gives?
