nexusreallysux
So I am new to the PC master race and one of the games I have been wanting to play on PC was Skyrim which I got cheap in the Steam summer sale. I browsed the Nexus for the mods I wanted and downloaded them. When I went to install them, I kept getting asked to overwrite existing files which was not unexpected but because I am installing so many mods and I am new to this, I thought I should ask the experts regarding my install and load order before I continue. These are the mods I wish to install. Oubliette
1. Please don't do the "master race" thing, just don't. Nothing good ever comes from anything "master race." 2. STOP. 3. NO SERIOUSLY STOP. DO NOT INSTALL ANOTHER MOD. STOP RIGHT THERE. You never want to install more than 1 mod at a time, followed by extensive testing to make sure it's installed correctly and nothing is broken, even experienced mod users run into problems when they do this. Doing that will also make you a good deal more familiar with each mod so that when it asks to overwrite something you're more aware of what that means in that case and whether or not you want to allow it. If you continue to install all the mod's on your list without testing I can guarantee you you're going to end up with a broken, tangled, mess and no idea what you did wrong or how to begin fixing it. nexusreallysux
But.... installing all those mods one by one will take forever... and I want to start playing right now. Can you help me figure out the order in which to install them? firepower02
Wouldn't you start playing after installing one mod? That's kinda the purpose. TA.
Yelang
For the starters, I'd say install SKSE (not in nexus, just google it) and then SkyUI and Immersive HUD and then start the game! (and remember to start your game with skse_load.exe after that). After that, you can look to whatever you think your game is lacking and search for a proper mod or ask people about it. Example: "Oh, skyrim characters are just SO ugly. I want to play as a pretty/handsome player". In that case you should look into "Hair and Face" and "Models and Textures" mods. Just search into those categories and try sorting by "most endorsed". Popular mods like ECE/RaceMenu, Apachii, etc. will come up. Edit: Also don't forget to install LOOT (or something similar) as well. It fixes some issues related to order of the mods and reports if there is any incompatibilities between them.
