TrexTitan
(made this thread so that helpful individuals can read what i have learned about the problem in a more condensed form over the past 12 hours. i am sorry for making two threads) So in a nutshell: Had OOO and deadly reflex 6.0 installed. after a butchered MMM 3.0 install my deadly reflex animations stopped working (read not being used. i had no 3rd or 1st person animations. my character is a statue) If i remove every DR file and revert to vanilla animations, game works fine, so no conflicts between any mods, just the game suddenly have an issue with DR animation replacers. I use Boss, the load order is perfect, the issue is as said before; Oblivion refuses to load the animations in the game. this were not a problem before i had a butchered MMM 3,0 replace some OOO files (yet none of them were animation files, or they would be in the folder with the DR files) How should i go about fixing this? is there some other files that could have been corrupted elsewhere that could have caused this? i can't make sense of this at all anymore, been at this for 12 hours soon.. so i need some rest. hope someone takes a shot at this. : ) i hope i can get some help here. Having had some rest: I'll post my mod list, is there any of these mods that could alter the animation files or any associated files anywhere else in the oblivion folder? files not associated with OOO or MMM (since those files are removed or fixed when the issue is yet to be solved.) update: my mod list Edited February 11, 2011 by TrexTitan
Hickory
new topic, delete the old one, nothing of value was said there Charming! And your proposition that removing DR6 results in no conflicts, therefore it must be MMM overwriting OOO files is circular reasoning that I cannot fathom. TrexTitan
well i was mostly the only one writing there, aside from you, and we never did find out why. It was 5 am for me, and had been at it for 12 hours, sorry if i wrote it wrong. now that i'm rested i see that the problem obviously is that MMM edited files of another mod i had installed, seperated from OOO. since removing OOO and reinstalled it should have resolved any such conflicts. I have to go through the meshes and see if there is another file that could cause this i suppose.. Another option tho: MMM and OOO saved a file to my app folder and save games folder. so could these, seperate from main folder files cause the issue? idk since i'm not sure what files are altered there. TrexTitan
OK, here's a list of the mods i use.. In their current load order. Is there any of these mods sides MMM or OOO that could make the game refuse to read or conflict with new 1st and 3rd person animation files? Or if it has to be files in MMM or OOO (well at least OOO as i could boot up the save without MMM but not without OOO) which one sit could be. Tried to remove the creatures meshes that used animations, but to no avail, and those were MMM files to begin with. I do remember someone having similar problems fixed it by disabling "all natural" i think it was, which is a OBSE mod... can it be a script issue? : S edit: used archive invalidation on textures/meshes... it made me unable to load the game Edited February 11, 2011 by TrexTitan
TrexTitan
Fixed it by doing a clean reinstall and installing every mod again... if i did this from theget go, i would have saved many hours, even if it took me many hours to install it all again.
