Startup problem.

To be very brief, FNV essentially freezes when I start it up. The little slideshow screens will progress until the NCR ranger, but from there, the game menu doesn't appear. And while this is happening, there is no cursor on the screen, and I can't advance the slides faster by clicking.

The only mod that I've installed recently that I think might cause this is Project Nevada because of its menu edits, but I'm not even sure about that.

try using FNVMM and un-ticking the PM esm and associated esp(s) If problem solved, problem solved. if not use FNVEdit to check for other game breaking conflicts. If no go - re-install ..... AHHHHHHHHH!!

Been there, tried that, nothing happened. Couldn't find any big errors in FNVEdit either. Reinstall time, I guess.

Well, this is just damn annoying now.

I reinstalled FNV, even cleared out my data folder beforehand so that would reset, too. But I'm still having the exact same problem as before. FNVEdit isn't showing any critical errors, and I'm rather at a loss as to what I should do.

EDIT:

Figured out the problem. I know it has something to do with the Mo' esm, but FNVEdit doesn't seem to want to tell me what exactly is wrong. It says that everything is fine and dandy.

I checked over BOENV and reinstalled it, then got the following two error messages:

! C:\Documents and Settings\New User\Local Settings\Temp\BOEvegas_1-01_FOMOD-40172-1-01.7z: Cannot open fomod BOE\info.xml

! C:\Documents and Settings\New User\Local Settings\Temp\BOEvegas_1-01_FOMOD-40172-1-01.7z: Error - operation failed

I'm guessing that these might have something to do with the errors on my end.

Did you burrow down into each segment? I have discovered conflicts that didn't show until I burrowed down sometimes as many as five layers..Doesn't have to be a critical in New Vegas I have discovered. Even minor ones can mess things up. The tweaks they gave the game engine is making it to sensitive IMHO.

What is your mod load order? Do you use BOSS? (recommend ... don't .... not enough numbers of mods tracked. It messed my load order up big time. Good concept, too many good mods out there and too many conflicts among them)Use FNVEdit to determine load order.
