Oddest thing an NPC said..

Ok, you know how when an NPC kills you, they may or may not make a comment regarding yourself?

 

Here's what they said to me.

 

some mage: "Hi!!"

 

some Raider "You look like a sneaky one"

 

And this part cracks me up..

 

I was in a Cave, and only had my trusty bow, and i'm fighting 13 or so Guardians of Oblivion.. of course i died, but i took 3 of them with me.. and before i loaded, 5 of them came over to me, kneeled down, and said: "May you rest in peace" haha.. felt kinda sad about having to kill those furkers after :D

Well, I had my High Elf Mage one evening, and was scouring around, looking for something to loot, and so, just like you, I ran into a few 'Guardians of Oblivion'.

Now, my Mage (was about level 6-10 or something back then. Now I'm 32! :D ) can pound any fighter into the dirt, but she's worthless against magicians, just because I took the Sign of the Apprentice (25% Weakness to Magic and fire etc + 100% Weakness to Magic= Very bad day), and quess what 'Guardians of Oblivion' are?

I got kicked ass by Atronachs and Skellies, and was lying in a pool of blood, when suddenly some of them starts to fight eachother. (Apparently, they don't have very good accuarcy as they think, hitting their own friends with fireballs? ;D ) While everyone is having a deathmatch, two of them starts talking about the WEATHER, in a CAVE, right in the middle of the battle.

It made me wonder a little bit, if the AI was all that perfect that Bethesda said it would be? :P

Haha.. gods.. i know what you mean.. some of their dialogue is dumb as hell..

 

Bandit 1: "How are you?"

Bandit 2: "Nibenay is a mixed region of farmland and.."

 

Took me a moment to think of how that fit with teh previous statement, and when i realized it didn't, my trusty bow was the death of them.. heh.. i was just going to sneak past them, but.. eh.. lol.. stupidity..

It didnt happened to me, but it happened to some evil guy in town. The guards killed him, and right after that they approached the corpse and said:

 

"There's a murderer nearby" (Or something among those lines)

Haha.. yeah..

 

kind of off topic, but i believe the stupidest thing i heard was in regards to a thieves guild quest, where you had to steal some blokes diary.. and then i hear that burglars ransacked his house and killed him.. and who told me? The 'dead man' himself.. :P

 

And some of these 'Rumor's that they tell aren't really rumors.. lol.. anyone ever noticed that?

 

Rumor: "My favourite thing is fresh slaughterfish, caught from the Waterfront!"

 

and one last t hing.. regarding Snak Gra-Borah.. Ok, so she eats horses, the man there acknowledges that they 'eat well'.. but that woman.. something Statlilia.. is she the only one who's clueless? What the heck does she think she's eating in that 'stew'??
