reveffect
I just recently downloaded the sexy oblivion mod but it is not working the way it is supposed to. After installing the mod and starting up the game I loaded one of my characters and went to the market district in the imperial city. All of the guards ,except for the quest related male guards, are female but all you can see is their head, helmet, bow, and arrows. There is a big yellow sign with a blue exclamation point on it next to the clothing store and inside the store I see bright yellow polygons everywhere. Plus all female faces are black except for their ears. If anyone can tell me how you take screenshots and where i can find them after taking them I could show you guys pictures of what I mean. I only have two other mods for this game which are the HGEC mod and no spider daedra mod. In obmm the esp's go in this order:Oblivion .esmKnights.espDLCShiveringIsles.espNo Spider Daedra.espColourwheels Sexy Oblivion mod.esp with the HGEC body mod activated in the active mods area. I installed the mod by putting the file in the data folder and extracting it there then I took the esp out of the mods data folder and put it in oblivions data folder so it would show up on the data files list. I checked it and started the game and all of that happened. Again I am pretty new to modding as you can probably tell by my very small list of mods  so the more help the better and it would probably be good to tell me how to correct this step by step or something since I do not know everything about modding yet. Any questions just ask.
Hickory
I don't know if this applies, since I don't use HGEC or this mod, but there is a "imperial legion cuirass quick fix" in the files section.
Zetsuboketti
Giving your list of mods and your stated inexperience with dealing with mods, I am going to guess that you don't have some form of Archive Invalidation active. If that's the case then you could use Quarn's method or the archive invalidation function of Timeslip's Oblivion mod manager which you should use as it will make installing and removing mods much easier when you eventually decide to add more. You can also use Wyre Bash, but it is a bit more complicated to get the hang of, although the effort does pay off. If you do have some form of archive invalidation and if you are using Windows 7 or Vista and have installed Oblivion into the Programs Files directory, then you may have to reinstall Oblivion (a pain I know) somewhere else like C:Oblivion as both operating systems have security measures in place that make it difficult to add or edit files in the Program Files directory. Please note that you should do this step even if it isn't the cause of your current problems as it will almost certainly cause issues in the future. Lastly, its also possible that you did not install Colourwheel's overhaul correctly and you will have to check and make sure the files are where they should be. edit:changed verb tense Edited February 14, 2011 by Zetsubo Ketti
reveffect
Well I already have obmm after having trouble with HGEC but did not really know about the archive invalidation thing. I also already have oblivion installed outside of program files after I had the same problem trying to add the no spider daedra mod so it can not be that. So it is probably a archive invalidation problem or i installed it incorrectly. But I am pretty sure I installed it correctly based on the instructions, i even made a backup of the original data folder and put it in the downloads section. The instructions seemed very straightforward for a simple install without the use of obmm. I tried installing it using obmm but it did not work. I will see about this archive invalidation thing first and if that doesn't work I will move on to reinstalling it.
reveffect
uuuuuuh how do you do archive invalidation?
Zetsuboketti
On the right side of OBMM's program window, there should be a number of options including "Launch Oblivion", "Settings", "Help", and "Utilities". Click on utilities and select "Archive invalidation". Make sure "BSA redirection" is checked and click the "Update now" button. You should get a popup saying "done" and then...well, you're done. You never have to fuss with archive invalidation again regardless of which mods you decide to install in the future.
reveffect
Yup that did not work. I guess I just installed it wrong so I am gonna uninstall and try again and if that does not work then I will just forget about it.
chaospearl
I installed the mod by putting the file in the data folder and extracting it there then I took the esp out of the mods data folder and put it in oblivions data folder so it would show up on the data files list. I'm not exactly sure what happened, based on this, but it sounds to me like you have the mod's files in the wrong place. If you extracted the whole mod into the Oblivion data folder, you shouldn't have needed to move the esp. It should have been in the correct folder already after extracting it. The fact that you had to move it tells me that you extracted the files someplace that's not the Oblivion data folder. And that's your problem. Try extracting the mod onto your desktop or into some other folder, then open the mod's data folder you've just extracted, and move everything in there (all the folders that are inside the data folder) into the Oblivion data folder. Basically, if the mod archive has a folder called Data, what you need to do is move that folder's entire contents into the Oblivion data folder. Not just the esp. reveffect
Yeah just got a similar response from colourwheel too. I knew I was doing something wrong and now I know . I will figure this out eventually.
reveffect
Problem solved. I just had to extract the files outside of the data file in the same area where I had installed the game so the CW mod data files would overwrite the original data files. Thx for all the help, especially you colourwheel.
