thedude05
Recently I've reinstalled FNV, and so then i downloaded FOMM, installed it and finally when I try to run it,FOMM, (through both the shortcut and exe. directly within the main folder), it just tells me "FOMM has stopped working," in other words it crashes. This happens every single time i try to run the darned thing, I have browsed the forums for a solution and so far i haven't been able to find anything. So here I am, any help would be GREATLY appreciated. . . . Edited February 14, 2011 by thedude05
WastelandAssassin
have you installed it properly??it sounds like it can't find your game......also, do you have NVSE??i don't think you need it for FOMM to run, but you will need it to start the game through FOMM

Fatalmasterpiece
You don't need NVSE to start the game through FOMM, pretty positive. What version of the game do you have, retail, steam, etc... and what's your install directory?

Surprise. I was trying to discern if he had a legal copy of the game, because it sounds like he doesn't, but subtlety isn't everyone's forte... >.> Edited February 14, 2011 by Fatalmasterpiece
WastelandAssassin
well, it's good to know that FOMM can launch the game without NVSEstill, anyone who wants to use the more serious mods will likely need NVSEbut it's always good to know these simple things and i totally get what you were trying to doi have done the same thing myselfguess i didn't think you were doing this..... sorry
csmithsr90
I had problems too. Here is what I did to fix them. 1. Uninstalled all programs, cleaned registry.2. Reinstalled FNV to default location.3. Downloaded newest version of FOMM and installed to default location.4. Downloaded newest version of NVSE and installed to default location.5. Started FOMM and made sure it loaded NVSE when starting game.6. Added NVSE dependent mods using FOMM.7. Added all other mods. Checked each in FOMM 5 at a time and opened game to see if they would load together.8. Checked for minor conflicts with FNVEdit and set load order accordingly.9. TA DAA ... Only problem I now have is with my own re-textures ... but that is another topic altogether.
