spooky760
Anyone else having this issue? Everytime I try to get close to the Griffif Wares Destroyed Caravan, the game CTD. Any idea why it CTD? I have tried approaching from different places but can't seem to get close enough before the game crashes. I tried disabling some of my mods to see if any of them were conflicting but no go. I have Fallout Edit but don't know how to use it. No problems up to this point, everything seemed to be doing ok. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks. Edited February 14, 2011 by spooky760
csmithsr90
Try disabling ALL your mods and add one or two at a time to see if/which mods conflict. Get to know the FNVEdit real well. It'll show if it is a mod conflict or not. The problem can happen if a mod (or mods) is/are adding too many resources to the area.

I tried a different load order, no luck. It just started doing this when I picked up Cass and was doing that quest marker to go find the Griffif Sacked Caravan. Everytime I get close to it, the game CTD. I don't have anything occupying the cells in that area, nothing has changed. I don't know, maybe I'm missing something. I have FNVEdit but I don't even know where to begin with that.

spooky760
Thanks. I looked over the guide, I tried cleaning a couple of mods to start off but the result is still the same. Any other suggestions?

It may be a mod that you don't think has anything to do with the area you are having problems with.
spooky760
Again ... disable ALL mods and add one or two at a time. It may be a mod that you don't think has anything to do with the area you are having problems with. Ok, I disabled all mods and tried going further and it keeps crashing at the same spot. Is my save corrupted? Should I just start over?
csmithsr90
pretty well much .... anyone else got any ideas?
spooky760
I think the save was corrupted. I tried disabling all mods and going forward and the game would crash only around that location. So I just started a new game. When I cam to the same area (with the same mods activated) I had no problems. I don't know...thanks for all the feedback.
Maniac3020
I had this same problem in several places in Oblivion, the only ways I know of to fix it are, as you did, to load a new save, or maybe, if there is a way, you could reset the cell.
