boogiemann
I was wondering has anyone ever made a class and used only the minor skills? My thought is to use a Khajiit with a thief birthsign and when you pick the 2 preferred traits choose say agility and speed. But then build a custom class that has 7 majors that i will not use like make him a magic class. But only increase skills in the stealth class...i know it takes longer to increase the minors but if your willing you still get the same bonuses from the skills it just takes longer to get there. So you could have a lvl 1 character with full lvled stealth skills and then the mage skills you can increase whenever your ready. So you could have a character with a duality if capabilities in the end, and as you start to lvl at first he would allready be ahead of the game as a stealth character Any thoughts on it? ElricOfGrans
I heard it is the easiest way to play the (vanilla) game, because you are never stronger than you are when level one, have level 100 skills, and using the few bits of non-levelled equipment scattered across the world. I believe it has been done many, many times before.
Nithrix
I get where you're going with this, but I think that you would need to include some skills in your major that would use and even attribute spread.I like the idea of only using minor skills, as you do not level, yet you max out those skills. However, you do get some bonuses from the attributes which would be handy (eg: break tougher locks, deal more damage in melee,)So, I think that if you really wanted to make a character that only focuses in Minor Skills, then your Major Skills should include skills that are from different attribute family. You would be an insanely overpowered low-leveler.I also feel that all the good loot/fun monsters are only in the higher levels. At level one you only get wolves, rats, and maybe boars. At level 20 (vanilla level-list) you get much more interesting creatures. Not to mention leveled loot. David Brasher
I played a complete overhaul mod once where you started out at level one and stayed there. It did this by not sending you through character generation. You were level one with no class. But then the mod got to a point where it always crashed, so I am stuck with a pretty useless character character for playing other mods with.
