Hurrdurr, to counter your point, what you say would be valid were we discussing game mechanics ie shooting, HP, etc. That's another topic. This is in regards to setting, storyline, backdrop and immersion. Having the game be more realistic and thus immersive, in line with a sim, does nothing to edit the reward, punishment relationship with the gamer. It is simply a visual and narrative aesthetic. Nothing in that capacity should impact the market negatively. In fact a more believable and realistic plot and atmosphere is exactly what would draw more CoD, modern warfare, tom clancy fans.
