HeadModel vanishing from Barbermenu

Actually, I am mistaken with barbermenu, its the showracemenu...

Anyway, I've run into this problem with Oblivion as well, where the head model will disappear after "new character model" mods are installed. I installed to C:\, use mod manager, and have validated. New races and Dimon female mods were installed. As well as hair options, etc.

In both games, Fallout3 and Oblivion, the only time I can get to modify my character in the game with a head model visible is at the very start. And I can only achieve customizing my characters face so long as I do not adjust the position of the head. Once I move the head at all, its gone forever, and doesn't even come up later in ShowRaceMenu. I like to modify the face in great detail, and one dimension isn't cutting it.

I didn't mind this bug so much with Oblivion, there was an external app to work around it, so surely there is an external face modifying program for Fallout 3 as well? Please tell me the best way to work around this.

I'd certainly appreciate it, thanks.

OK, here's how I fixed it.

The player model is not actually gone from the edit window, it is far below our line of sight. Use the "Console" command line and type various increasing levels of model scale. Try a large value first, for example, I had a short model that was placed below the window and out of sight, I typed "player.setscale 3" and identified the problem, then I fine tuned her hight to a value of "player.setscale 1.26". Her models size was no longer normal, but for now it was high enough to be perfectly in the window so I could edit it. After you are finished, reduce the scale back to "player.setscale 1.0" to get back to normal size.

I solved my issue with Bethesda's game.

But still, if there is an actual fix, I'd still be interested in learning it.
